10/10Lovely restaurant with excellent food, the menu was perfectly timed, the wine was a good companion. The service was very nice without overdoing it. It was nice that they respected my wife‘s pregnancy and put in efforts to adjust the menu to her. Thank you!

10/10This was my second time at Arles, this time with a large group of work colleagues. The food is fabulous for both vegetarians and non - really wonderful service and I love the atmosphere. We could hear each other talk. Great wine. I will go back again and again.

7.5/10The ambiance was incredible and the space was beautiful and relaxing. The food was good, the seasonal menu was very enjoyable. The service was a bit challenged - we did not get a menu or water or asked about a beverage for 25 minutes after being seated.

8/10Lovely place and good service, only negative was that the menu is very small and having both fish and beef as options for both starter and main course leaves very few options to select for 4 courses, so we had 3 but left a bit hungry.

9.5/10Tables were a bit close together - you were part of the adjoining table's conversation whether you wanted to or not. There's a reason they have a Bib Gourmand - food and service were an excellent deal for the price. If they pay just a touch more attention to service (probably they were short one staffer the night we were there), and tighten up a few slight misses (too much vinegar in a sauce in one course, short on salt in another) they could get their first star.

10/10Every dish was delicate,fresh,perfectly presented and original in the combination between ingredients. The wine pairing that was kindly made for us was also very nice and each dish felt complete. I totally recommend this little gem!

4/10Service was nice and attentive. Food was well presented, but the taste was bland. The restaurant seems lovely, and I’m sure we would have enjoyed it more on another day. Unfortunately, we were placed in the same room with a loud party of 10 other persons. In the end, it was a torturing evening of noises and tasteless food.

10/10One of us had the Bib gourmand menu and one a la carte - both 3 courses. Couldn’t fault any of it, but the vitello mackerel, cod and chicken dishes were all exceptional. Also good was the riz au lait- the most luxurious rice pudding I have ever tasted! For the quality of the food, preparation and service, this was excellent value. The wine pairings were very well chosen. Would definitely return on a future visit to Amsterdam.

10/10The food is amazing, there was a meat, fish and vegetarian choice. The staff was super friendly, spoke great English and French in top of that. The toilets and the whole place was really clean and lovely decorated

About the restaurant
In 2016 heeft een groot aantal liefhebbers chef-kok, wereldreiziger en jazzmuzikant Numa Muller (Arles; 1985) uit Arles al ontdekt. Via pop-ups op verschillende locaties heeft Numa diverse malen Amsterdam laten kennismaken met zijn interpretatie van de neo-bistro. De kookstijl die in Parijs furore maakt en staat voor herkenbare gerechten, voorzien van nieuwe smaken en een vleugje je ne sais quoi, laat nu ook in de hoofdstad zijn ware gezicht zien. In een restaurant dat luistert naar de naam Arles. Enchanté.
Vanzelfsprekend is ook de ‘voorkant' op niveau. Laurence Reintjens (Tilburg; 1990) werkte voorheen bij onder andere La Rive en Bridges in Amsterdam, waarna hij besloot zijn carrière voort te zetten in een toegankelijker type restaurant.
Laurence behoort tot de nieuwe generatie gastheren die gastvrijheid en wijnkennis in dienst stellen van een geslaagde gastronomische ervaring. Zijn kaart huisvest zowel traditionele als vin nature wijnen.
