4/10Fish overall good and fresh but the risotto alla pescatora was terrible: too much olive oil and seafood surprisingly all frozen …. not acceptable for a fish restaurant.

6/10The place needs a good deep cleaning, even the walls were dirty where I was sitting and it was many flies(!!!) Food was okey and the staff is veeeery nice, but honestly I’m scared to eat in places that is this dirty. Bathroom was okey but sticks so it also needs a real to be cleaned.

9/10Very good! Nice restaurant in the heart of Testaccio, the service was really really excellent. Very welcoming and friendly. The timing was perfect between ordering and our courses. The food was very good, great portion size. I would be more than happy to return in the future.

7.5/10Nice restaurant. The food and the service are good. The price/quantity ratio is not fantastic but having a good discount makes it ok. The only thing that needs to be improved considering the restaurant standards is the toilet cleaning level.

4/10This is a restaurant we have frequented many times in the past but this time the food was really disappointing. The service was also below par and we sensed a kind of arrogance which was totally uncalled for. We had to send our starters back and the mains were just about edible. We won't be back in a hurry which is a pity cause it was very good in the past. It's quite hard to find a bad meal in Rome.

7.5/10We made a reservation at 7:00 pm, and arrived on time, the waiter and waitress are very polite and professional although we did notice that we were not offered bread for our meal, we did not think of it until we saw the locals came and both tables were bread on the tables. We thought it might be we were tourists that the restaurant did not think we need the bread? The food is the most an Average, they did not leave any impression on us. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and set the mood for seafood perfectly. Just wish the food could be better, the wine is delicious. In summary.

10/10We eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. The menu is diverse and unique along with classics. You must try their signature moscardini in tomato sauce or the vegetable crusted snapper. Delicious. The service standard is high and also consistent. We love Assuntina.

4/10I don’t like writing bad reviews but we ordered the seafood risotto for 2 and we found it disappointing. It tasted like it had been prepared using a frozen bag of mixed seafood. Also the restaurant was sold out of the less expensive wines. The white wine we had was nice but it was just annoying that the cheaper wines on the wine list were not available. The service was competent but not very friendly. A coca cola for 3€ was charged by mistake but I didn’t notice this until I looked at the bill the next day. Also the ambiance was not great.

4.5/10In the last year, we lost our business, our home, and my father. We just passed our 10th Anniversary and decided, why not? Let’s go to Italy, the roots of my family. Saturday night was to be our anniversary dinner, and we picked the Testaccio neighborhood, because we have enjoyed it so thoroughly. We do not speak Italian, but we are trying, and started learning and have tried to be respectful everywhere. If we can’t understand, our response is always ‘Scuzi, Mi dispiace. No capisco. Parla Inglese?’ This restaurant is the ONLY place in all of Rome after two weeks that was completely dismissive of us. I have also been in the restaurant business for 25 years, including 7 years at the Michelin Star, or Two Michelin Star level. When I had someone come to the restaurant from another country, the goal is to speak slowly, precisely, and have patience. They are your guests. This is not the way we were treated. The owner was courteous upon entry, but didn’t offer assistance to us at any point of our stay as he sido anñt many of the surrounding tables, not any sort of salutations on departure…as he did with every single other table. The first waiter was completely dismissive and disrespectful. I tried to order a bottle of wine. He shewed us and walked away. I went inside and ordered from the owner. The second waiter tried to make up, we felt, but once he had our food order, he was gone until the secondi were done. I asked for the check three times. We watched the restaurant empty as we waited and the servers and owner chatted. I wanted to be peaceful for our Anniversary dinner. Bottom line: this will be our home soon. A new start after a terrible year of losses. We still have huge hopes for that. All we can hope for these people, is to learn humility, patience, and the core element of their business: Hospitality.

10/10The place is excellent - for its setting, food, service, about everything ... except the prices that are a bit "elevated", though not excessive. Food is traditional but delicious - and no frills (like colourful dots all over the plate and similar fancy stuff ...) - we love it already for that! Antipasto (broccoletti e gamberi) was sublime! Excellent also the primo piatto (linguine con astice). Main courses (filetto rombo agli agrumi e mandorle; filetto di salmone alla griglia) were very tasty and well prepared. Divine again the dessert (mille foglie con chantilly)! The service was excellent - welcoming and efficient, the right mix between attention, helpfulness and discretion. Not the slightest sign of resentment when we were not happy with the initally selected wine and chose another bottle. So, all in all, the restaurant was a very pleasant discovery and we can definitely recommend it for many reasons. But do not expect that €40 on average (claim on The Fork site) will suffice for a delicious meal ...

8.5/10Salmon tartare and linguine with lobster and tomatoes were really good and fresh. I am a little bit disappointed about spaghetti allo scoglio, that's why I gave 4/5. I'm sure I'll come back again to try something else!

10/10Very good fish restaurant. Good service. Prices are not expensive. This restaurant is like the affordable version of the Assunta Madre, another fish restaurant more expensive.

6.5/10Lovely decor but mood ruined by loudness of local radio station playing awful music over Sound system, including news broadcasts. Dust on the wood paneling next to the table showed that there had been no cleaning for some time. Pity, good was nice but would not return because of the mood and dust.
