9.5/10The quality and portions of the food were superb. Friendly hosts, English menu and also English speaking waitress. The prices were considerably moderate regarding the quality of the food. I had fettucine gricia and grilled prawns. truly enjoyed the food. Highly recomemended….

4/10First time we came food was outstanding and so was the srvice. Last time it was a disaster. 1 hour wait for a tartar...both pastas were covered in whole black peper. I'm not even speaking that tables who arrived after were served first. Food was ariving with no particular logic, usualy 2 plates of pasta should arrive at the same time. A very disappointing experience.

5/10Very disappointed! After a simple appetizer we waited over an hour and a half for our meal… We gave up and went to leave. It took almost 1/2 hour to get an accurate bill for our beverages and appetizer. The cashier kept double charging and repeatedly had to make a new bill. At the end of it all we were charged €2.50 for service. There as no apology for the inexcusable bad service. After 2.5 hours in this restaurant we went around the corner and got a hamburger.

10/10Excellent service, there was a slight communication barrier but they were extremely patient and took the time to understand exactly what we wanted! Could not have wished for a better experience and would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Rome for the first time, or returning!

10/10We visited here 3 years ago in March 2019 and again October 2022, we absolutely love this place. Very traditional Rome. We love that it serves classic Italian food and you have the authentic feel rather than the hustle and bustle of the city. Christian is so welcoming and next time we come to Rome we will 100% be back and 100% recommend this place to anyone. The food is fantastic and service so welcoming. Thank you for having us back and look forward to visiting again.

10/10If it’s your first time in Roma and you sick to try Italian cuisine Burroesugo is suggested. Cozy atmosphere, friendly stuff, comfortable location. Fish salad , pasta with tuna and spaghetti with clamps are place’s thing . Thx for the perfect dinner )

9/10The inside of the restaurant felt more like a sports bar with a large screen tv - however it is nicely decorated. We ended up sitting outside, which was simple but nice. The food and service was excellent. Very nice people. Will definitely return.

9.5/10I lived in Basilica san Paolo for some months and i cant believe i NEVER went here.... it was tucked away behind a street i always walked down. The vibe is lovely, outside seating, very warm and cosy in a very quiet area. The food is lovely, very good pizza, very good pasta. The bruschetta is delicious. Well priced. The owner was very hospitable too, and chatted with us. I would love to come again!

8.5/10I love Burro e Sugo! It is one of my favorite places to go with friends and family. Its a real hidden gem in the Garbatella area. I love the variety of food options (highly recommend the gnochetti quattro formaggi and the salmone tartare). The house wine is great too and only 4 euro for 50 cl!

8/10Great value for money. Good food, wine and service. Simple Italian dishes done well and off the tourist track. The only thing is the menu is a bit complicated with options/meal deals and having booked with the fork we had 50% off a la carte food and drinks and it was unclear what that meant, but was quickly resolved with the owner.
