10/10A perfect restaurant with a wide selection of dishes from traditional to more original Prices are very reasonable for the quality of both the service and the plate. A small diamond in Barcelona!

9/10Very good experience. Excellent starters. After we choose low temperature meat recipes (Lamb and Angus), awesome! Great dining and very kind waiters. Only thing to point out: during dinner our waiter changed and the second one didn't know about the dietary needs of my partner who absolutely must eat gluten-free. we chose an appropriate dessert but a wrong one arrived with gluten. So be careful about that. Anyway, nice place, great food. Despite everything, when we come back to Barcelona, we will return to Casa Amalia!

7.5/10We loved the starters and the service but the paella were not up to expectations. They seemed over cooked and not very generous in the ingredients. We didn't complain because the quality of the starters was so good: slices of crispy pork and croquettes with spider crab filling. In the end the waiter/server encouraged us to try dessert and since he had recommended the starters we went with his recommendation again: cheesecake. It was one, of or maybe even the very best, we have tasted. Creamy and delicious and if you love baked cheese cake you will love this from Casa Amalia menu. We will certainly go back for more starters and desserts but will be avoiding the paella next time, unfortunately.

10/10Service was outstanding. It was a chilly night so the table side fires were much appreciated. The food was easily the best meal we had during our 8 days in Spain. I would recommend to anyone.

10/10Some of the dishes seems a bit too inventive at first glance, but everything we had was absolutely exquisite. Appetizers are pricey (croquettes are 6 euro per unit), but mains are fair for the quality they serve. Our paella marinera was the best we had in Spain.

6.5/10Expensive and not great. Starters were good but paella was really expensive too tiny pieces of wagyu and 100g of rice each for 2 people (€60) and the rice was not too uncooked.

8/10We enjoyed our meal mostly. Pineapple dessert wasn’t good. We felt that everything was rushed. We didn’t feel like we could just sit & relax. We had a sense that everything was about getting the food out asap so that the next people could come in. Friendly welcome & nice waiting staff. We were only offered a cocktail menu. We weren’t given any other drinks menu or if it was on the tablet we weren’t shown where it was.

4/10The food was nothing special, my paella was stuck to the pan, my daughter’s beef rib was predominantly fatty (my husband had the same and his was less so). However they both said the flavour/dish was mediocre. My son had the cannelloni and again was underwhelmed. It was all just very mediocre. We went as it had been recommended, but we were honestly at a loss to see why. The staff, whilst pleasant, were far from attentive. It took a while to take our order, we ordered some bread which took a while to arrive, however before we had finished the plates were whipped away and we were presented with our main.

10/10We wanted great paella. We got great paella, wonderful service, great and reasonable wine recommendations, amazing appetizers, and an overall fantastic experience. We’ll surely return on our next trip to Madrid.

10/10Had a lovely dinner here - we were a group of nine, and were sitting outside which - despite its being February - was pleasant thanks to heaters and blankets being provided. Really first class food, exquisitely presented and perfectly cooked. Quite a "high end" option. Would love to have dawdled longer but four somewhat grumpy children curtailed the evening. Recommended!

4.5/10Generally disappointing. We could only sit outside even if we booked an appointment. Two of us got food poisoning afterwards, we felt sick and had diarrheas. The prawn in the seafood rice could be not fresh. The woman who was at the reception had really rude attitude, ignoring our requests for several times. The only good things was that one of the waiter was nice in serving us.

It is advisable to make reservations in advance to be able to choose a table inside, although the truth is that our terrace is very pleasant since it is on a very quiet street. At Casa Amália we work with the best local suppliers and use high-quality ingredients in each of our dishes with the aim of offering our customers an excellent gastronomic experience. 10/10The restaurant is beautiful and has a huge outdoor space on a quiet pedestrian street, the inside is large too. There is a private room upstairs that has a view of the kitchen! The staff smartly placed us there, as we notified them we had 2 children. They offered children seats but we did not need them. My toddlers loved watching the kitchen and now are "making croquettes" all the time! The staff was so sweet to them, they gave ice cream dessert on the house. It was a very special night for us ans we had an amazing time.

7.5/10The food was really delicious. The service was good at the start. They then forgot to bring our drinks and did not apologise for the error after we had to chase them up. The service was then good again when we had to pay the bill.
