10/10The restaurant was open early and the staff treated me like a welcomed guest for my first meal in the Netherlands, as a tired and jet-lagged traveler who’d arrived just four hours before. The beer selection was good and the food tasted homemade. Slavinken (meatball sausages wrapped in bacon), Snert (pea soup with rye bread and smoked bacon), and Poffertjes (puffy donut-hole pancakes) are all perfectly done, seasoned just enough to accentuate their natural flavor. I ordered these as a 3-course special menu combo for €32, and somehow it was rung up as only the main course plus the beer. By the time we realized it on the receipt, I’d already paid and the restaurant decided to honor the much lower price I’d paid.

5/10Service too fast. They want you in and out. I don't appreciate plates being cleared whilst someone is still eating.

10/10Wanted to go to a traditional Dutch restaurant and the De Blauwe Hollander was recommended and did not disappoint. We managed to book a table just as well as the restaurant was busy from when we arrived to when we left. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was great tasty and plentiful, would recommend the Stampot dishes.

10/10Booked this for our first dinner in Amsterdam and it was a lovely place to sample some Dutch classics. Very much recommend the Bitterballen and Stamppot (and do save room for the Poffertjes! They are gorgeous)

9/10This is great place for local food and local drinks! It wasn't too busy but service was lacking. We were forgotten about and it took a little while but otherwise it's a wonderful place.

8.5/10The place and staff were very welcoming. Food was great in taste and quantity, as expected..local and simple dishes, exactly what we went there for! Do not miss out the stamppot, their signature dish (looked and tasted delicious). We would definitely visit again and again!

8/10Relatively small space and therefore cramped tables. The food was good without being great.

9.5/10This restaurant is a real gem! The ambience is wonderful, many little tables with cozy lighting and classical Dutch art on the walls. The service was fast, the staff was attentive, and the food came out quite quickly. We got the snert (Dutch pea soup) and the stamppot hutspot (mashed potatoes with veggies, tender beef brisket, and gravy). The portions were good and the food was excellent! I highly reccomend :))

8.5/1010/10 service. They were super nice, friendly and ready to help. Food was also good but a bit salty for us. It was my second time visiting here, and I’d like to come back when I visit Amsterdam again!

10/10A lovely place to eat traditional Dutch food we came across it online. Great service and good friend. They were very helpful to explain what the dishes were as we were not sure on some of the dishes. Lovely food would recommend to go here if looking for some good traditional food.
