10/10We had a business dinner to celebrate a successful project. The food and service were excellent. I would book again for business or personal travel. Excellent seafood and rice offerings. Nice spot, good value!

10/10Our dinner was excellent. Artichoke appetizer and the Salt encrusted Sea Bass were exceptional. Referred by our concierge at Hotel Monterra and it was a great experience. Thank you both for a wonderful evening

8/10Steak was good but medium rare was our preference and came out too rare. We were very disappointed that a steak for that price especially in a nicer restaurant had fries for the side. Potato of some sort and a vegetable is the right way to offer it. Wine list was very difficult to navigate also.

10/10As always the food was excellent. The kids re-selected menu for New Year’s Day was delicious, frankly lots of food. The wine and champagne Were also a good pair. The service was great.

9.5/10Enjoyed our dinner here. Good atmosphere and was walkable from our hotel. My husband and I shared a salad, had a bottle of wine, steak and scallops. Everything was delicious. The paella looked amazing as well, we were sorry we didn’t try it here. All n all we would recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. Enjoyed everything!

10/10The seafood are very fresh, and cooking skills very good. The carabineros and razor clams are grilled at the right timing. And the carabineros are top quality ones. Will definitely go again!

6/10This was recommended by our hotel and was our least favorite restaurant during our time in Madrid. It was over priced mediocre food with nothing at all that makes me want to come back. We will not me returning in the future.

3.5/10Non existent service, mediocre and overpriced food. We had to call the waiter repeatedly and were never asked how the meal was going. One of our dishes was inedible due to too much fat. The meal was expensive for the low quality of the food and overall lack of care and interest in the customer experience. I regret dining here!

4.5/10V disappointing restaurant. Several items on the menu were unavailable, main courses were not a described & fish was bland & under-seasoned. Compared to other restaurants we visited the staff were not friendly or helpful. I would not recommend this as a fish restaurant.

7/10Our group ate at this restaurant twice. The first time, the service and food were first rate, which is why we went back a second time several weeks later. This time, however, the service was sub-par. Some drinks were served, others were brought to the table significantly later, or not at all. Same with the dishes....one dish would come to the table, while others waited for at least 20 minutes to get theirs. A dish not ordered appeared as well. We were quite disappointed after the first time that we went there.

7/10We a very mixed experience. We ordered the almejas (clams) to start, which were large and succulent. My wife ordered Meluza as her main dish which was fresh and delicious. I ordered the Sole which was a huge disappointment. It was definitely not fresh and had obviously been frozen with the result that it was rubbery in texture and with a strange taste. And this despite our server telling me that it was fresh before I ordered. El Barill has a certain reputation which fell down a lot because of this experience. With mineral water and a single glass of house white wine, the bill was €105 ,which is expensive given the poor experience. This was our second visit and we will not return again. It seems El Barill is “living on its laurels” but for how much longer?

10/10Was Highly recommended by the hotel we stayed n the local we met! Seafood was as fresh as it could be, the Prawn logos Paella is to die for, so is the clam. Staffs were friendly, Attentive and welcoming. We are two of us so Going back for more before we leave! Keep it up restaurant

10/10Very attentive service and the food was amazing. Great glass of Sangria and the Seafood Paella was exactly what I was hoping for. A nice amuse bouche and small dessert taste was offered free from chef!

9/10The food was very good. The evening was however spoilt by kitchen staff taking wheeled rubbish bins from the kitchen to the rear entrance, through the back part of the eating area, banging and crashing them as the dragged them up the stair. Very odd!.

10/10The selection of food at this restaurant was by far one of the best on our short trip to Madrid. After making a reservation online and making it much earlier then expected we were happily seated anyways and felt our visit was met with top notch hospitality. We ordered the Paella Especial and it did not disappoint! The wine we had (pareja de vidrios) was also particularly tasty and paired well with our food. I will be back!
