6.5/10I had a reservation and I arrived 30 minutes earlier, I was offered to wait or if possible return at the time of my reservation. We went for a coffee and went back 5 minutes before the reservation, however we waited for around 20 minutes to be seated, and a better table was given to some people that arrived at the same time as us but without reservation. So pretty much the reservation is quite useless.

6.5/10Venison stew: meat was extremely dry and tasteless (as if it had been reheated). Luckily it was replaced by decent (but not extremely tasty) meatballs (tried better versions in other Stockholm restaurants). The best dish was the herring toast: nice syrup bread, good presentation and very balanced flavour and texture.

5/10The food is really basic and it doesn’t correspond to our expectations about a good traditional swedish restaurant. The restaurant seems to be just for foreign tourists now.

10/10Very authentic and fun. Super service- the waiters where present, despite the fact that they were very busy. Drinks landed on the table from the beginning, making us feel welcome. The food was excellent and everything just worked to our satisfaction. Thank you for a great time. We will definitely be back

7.5/10The food is great and the restaurant is pretty. The waiter is a little pushy that he tried to take away our bread during the meal several times (we still ate them with wine).

10/10Kvarnen Restaurant is a must if you are visiting Stockholm. The food is amazing and the Service is great. I will definitely go again once I come back to Stockholm. Loved it!

9.5/10It's the second time I go there to eat, in my opinion they make the best meatballs in Stockholm at absolutely affordable prices! Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it if you want to eat traditional Swedish cuisine, including game dishes!

4.5/10Very loud and overwhelmingly packed restaurant. The mushroom filled potato dumplings was drier than the Sahara desert and lacked much mushroom flavor at all. The pumpkin soup was ok, but if you didn't tell me it was pumpkin I wouldn't have known since it just tasted like cream. The one item that was excellent was the rhubarb pie cocktail. I would not recommend.

7.5/10Best meatballs in town and the old maitre’d is still wonderful. However some of the younger staff struggled with both Swedish and English and messed up orders. Not quite what you want in a quintessential Swedish restaurant.

10/10This very traditional restaurant is one of my favourite in Stockholm. The ambiance is so nice, worm, and welcoming. The food is great, not too many choices which makes it even more unique for the special attention each plate gets. The service is excellent, the waiters are very nice and take care of the customers. I will definitely go back and will take my friends and family.

8/10If you are looking for a great selection of traditional Swedish dishes and a hearty meal this is the place for you. We booked for brunch and, although I thought this was more of a buffet than brunch, it was good value for the amount of food on offer. The decor is wood panelling and stained glass so definitely “old skool” rather than hip and trendy. But that’s OK by me!

10/10Very busy friday evening, luckily we booked in advance. the manager and his team were all really attentive, despite the restaurant being full, we were served in a timely manner. great manager on the evening, such nice attitude and friendly character. Food was excellent, we had the Bif Ryberg, and desert to follow. The desert wine was a perfect end to the meal too. Definitely will be visiting again soon.

8/10The dish is classic Swedish and really good tastes. Swedish meatball is bigger than our expect and tasty. Raindeer stew is nice with berry source. However, waiter on our table did bad job. On payment time, he increased my payment almost 10% without any confirmation. I hear that Sweden didn't have a gratitude custom, and even though there are, I didn't want to pay it for such bad waiter. Also, I invited guests, and this moment was shared as shame for all members. The great dish time is converted as terrific moment by him. We feel that manager is really nice person, but some waiter maybe bad.
