8.5/10A bit of Mexico in Barcelona. Very nice restaurant, decorated in a way that make you feel like if you were on Mexico. Good service, fairly good food, with a menu that allows you to choose the protein you prefer to have in the base dishes. An experience to repeat.

6.5/10We went on dinner with friends, the waiting time was a lot they we’re definitely understaffed but despite that they were very friendly. Food quality was ok, nothing extraordinary, one remarkable was the blue totopos, those were tasty.

7.5/10The food is ok, not really great. The menu doesn't have lots of options (no quesadillas, not carnitas plate, etc.). On the night we went (a Wednesday), the restaurant was out of many items including most Mexican beers (only Sol was available), Mezcal, aguas frescas, etc. The final price with TheFork discount compensate some of that though.

10/10La Chelinda is a hidden gem in Barcelona. The staff is friendly, food is amazing and the atmosphere inside takes you on a travel to Mexico. We ordered a Sangria jug and the tacos tasting menu, alongside chicken and shrimp tacos, which were all amazing. Would definitely recommend.

2/10Such a disappointment. Food had no flavour and came separately so we were not able to even eat together. Service was very poor. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

6/10The food was average. The wifi only works for a few minutes and won't renew (by design). The food came out way too quick, making it obvious it's pre-made and under heat lamps. The burrito was tasteless and needed a bunch of habanero. Tacos were oversalted. Quesadilla was burned. Wouldn't go back.

8/10I wanted to love this place as I’m on always on the lookout for good Mexican food. And while the food and service was good it was not what I was looking for in my new favorite Mexican restaurant. I’m a tough customer as I am from California where great Mexican food is pretty easy to find,, but there are a few comments I’d make: the tortilla chips are not made in house, they’re store bought, the guacamole lacked flavor as did the poco de Gallo. For me chips, salsa and guacamole are key to a good Mexican restaurant. The rest of the food was ok but lacked real Mexican flavors, what they are calling a burrito is actually a chimichanga( fried burrito) and overall the portions were small for the price. The service was good and the interior is charming, but sadly I’m not in a hurry to go back. My quest for authentic Mexican food in BCN continues...
