9/10I had the best Carbonara in Italy. The Oxtail is also very nice. They recommended the wine - Tenuta, Tre Cancelli Merlot Lituo which paired perfect with the dishes! The restaurant is not along the Main Street to flag a taxi but thankfully I download the Uber apps. High recommended!

5.5/10We made our reservation based upon reviews on the Fork. The restaurant was more touristy than we expected and was full. We ordered and the food arrived quickly, a sign that it was probably heated up and served to us. It wasn't tasty at all. We ate and left. The next morning we both had stomach problems. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

9.5/10The best food we have had on our trip! We compared to Enzo, down the block and this was FAR better and so perfectly priced! Get the focaccia with Roman bacon, the stuffed zucchini flower, oxtail ragu and the carbonara! Insanely good.

3/10Honestly the worst meal I have had in Italy. The bruschetta was tough, the carbonara was so salty, my wife had the vegetarian version which was under seasoned and tasteless while mine had far too much and I like my food salty… The staff seemed disinterested when I went inside to pay the staff member was at his seat vaping, no words just pointed to the card machine. Certainly would not recommend this place.

10/10La Gattabuia was recommended to us by a local and it do not disappoint. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere - it seemed like there were about as many locals there as there was us touristas. The service was good - very good and easy to get their attention, but as is common in Italy, they are certainly not in a rush and will leave you alone unless needed. The portions are generous and the prices are quite good for the high quality food they serve. It's about 10 -12€ for a taxi ride from the Trevi fountain area. While you are there you should definitely take some time to walk around the Trastavere neighborhood, especially if you need a taxi home because the best place to get a taxi later in the evening is at the taxi stand near Ponti Garibaldi.

9/10The food at this restaurant is authentic and amazing!! We really enjoyed the taste. It was as if we were eating at our GrandMother's house for dinner. We will return here for sure, and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authenticity! The only issues we had with the restaurant were: 1. A few flies were flying around/on our table. This is likely due to the time of year and weather. Hopefully the restaurant can ensure that the flies dont become an issue going forward. 2. The service was tough (at times) to get a hold of. With the "3 room" concept (it's actually pretty cool: like you are in a wine cellar), the wait staff are moving around from room to room. But they were very friendly and helpful!!

9/10The outside seating area is not as good as some of the other nearby restaurants, but inside it's a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere and really good food - reasonably priced and good service - would recommend

9.5/10Amazing Italian flavor and ambience. This is a true gem hidden in Rome's Trastevere neighborhood. The Napoli pizza is a must-try! Be aware that the restaurant is mostly below street level and is easy to miss if you aren't paying attention.

4.5/10We came here following good reviews on trip advisor. As cabs pulled up with visitors, it was apparent many had the same idea. We had reservations, though they were not needed. I saw no locals here. Our less than great experience may have been due to our menu selections, as we ordered the mixed grill for two. The quantity was overwhelming, but think of it as a dried out charcoal barbecue dinner with meat and meat and meat. Just totally underwhelming and without any exceptional notes.

Hello David,your reservation was at 19:00. At this time of course you will find only foreign customers because Italians eat from 20.30 onwards. You ordered a grilled mixed meat...what did you expect to eat? Fish?

8/10Initially, I was very skeptical as there were no locals, only tourists, I only heard English from both the guests and the staff, and the menus were presented de facto in English. Once we ordered I would say the food that we ordered was good, especially the cacio e pepe with artichoke (but my Amatriciana was too acidic (not balanced). Good selection of wines. Antipasto was good; the contorno was over salted. 7.5/10

Hello Victor, the place was full of tourists because at 19, eat only foreigners. Italians have the habit of dining from 20.30 We have menus in Italian and English, for you foreign tourists we give the menu in English

10/10From the moment we walked in, I knew this would be a great restaurant. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the server was attentive, responsive, and helpful. We were a party of nine, and he took all of our orders quickly and my memory, and got everything exactly right. The food was amazing and the price was affordable and appropriate. A great experience, and we will definitely return. Highly recommend.

8/10We had a fantastic mix of starters, fried aubergine flower and bruschetta with garlic and oil. The aubergine flower in particular was a fantastic reimagining of fritti. For our two mains we had the standard caccio e pepe and a margarita pizza. The pasta was absolutely fantastic, creamy to the point of decadence with loads of flavour and the spaghetti were cooked just the right side of al dente, If I could actually reproduce it at home I’d die a happy man. However the pizza had way too much cheese on it, it was leaking fat all over. If they removed 60% of the cheese from the pizza it would have been a normal margerita, so I guess don’t bother with it and just order the pasta.

2.5/10Arrived at 7pm before the crowd. Took 90 minutes for 3 pizzas. Some of our drinks were not delivered (but were on check). Meat (cut of beef) was the only good news, was really good. The pizzas were of below average quality. We would not recommend this place, bit surprised by the proper rating.

2/10Terrible experience! No air conditioner inside in a hot and humid day! No one approached us to take an order in 30 minutes after sitting- even not for water!! And we asked a few times- completely ignored! Not coming back for sure!

9.5/10We enjoyed a wonderful dinner, in a relaxed atmosphere (okay it got a little noisy at times but that was a Saturday night!). The staff was very attentive and spoke a little English to help with our order. Great food, good wine, a very good value, and we would come back again!

Also I accidentally had 2 notes stick together and accidentally paid over €50 then manager came chasing me down the street to give me the refund. Can add absolute honesty to this restaurant also. I would of never of known and thought it was lost!

6.5/10While the food was good, we did not enjoy it as we rushed in a hurry to leave as fast as possible due to the reason that there was no air conditioning, and we were sitting indoors. Covered all in sweat, and being in agony, we just paid and left leaving some of the food and half of the bottle of wine. Not very good experience!

3.5/10The worst pizza we tried in Rome. Extremely fatty without taste ( I did not feel any pepper, no garlic, no basil...)There was too much of cheese which caused there was no pizza crust, it did not remained solid. Do not recommend this place.
