2/10The worst experience of the Fork in Paris! The 'manager' or person in charge received us with a very sour demeanour and seeing we were foreigners wasn't helpful at all. I stated we had a reservation with the Fork and he mumbled a bunch of stuff in french that was not clear to me, when asked to repeat he just indicated we sit down and left us. He passed us on to a young server who was kind but made very little effort to communicate with us properly. All of our orders were wrong, we asked for coca cola zero and got original; had 2 juices served to us and they didn't take back any of these. Then the food, it was nice but 2 orders were wrong. The chicken had french fries and salad instead of rice with beans and chili, then the desserts. We ordered the crème brûlée and profiterols. We were told the profiterols were 3 served with ice cream and hot chocolate, we got 4 profiteroles filled with ice cream drizzled in chocolate syrup and served with crème fraîche. I was looking forward to the crème brûlée and when it came, it was green. I've had it before and know its not usually yellow in colour, so I asked the waitress and she said it was pistachio crème brûlée, important detail she left out. The worst part was the end. We reserved there after a long day because the app offered a -50% discount, this was not applied on the bill provided. When I told her this, she said that they don't offer any discounts, then the manager appears and conforms this. At this point I thought that we made a mistake with the resevration but I check my email confirmation and see on the managers phone our reservation as well. I explain the app offers this and show him my phone again but he denies this. As we were all tired I don't insist further and conceed. I proceed to pay the whole amount provided by them using ForkPay, the server clearly has no idea what I'm saying. In front of her I pay the whole bill and an extra coupon is applied which makes it less. I show her the confirmation on the app but she insists I haven't payed and I must do so with a card. The manager appears again telling her off, she is confused and by now I am annoyed. I explain to her multiple times that I made the payment through the app. Its obvious no one there know how this app works. The manager returns again and says I didn't pay the entire amount seeing that my email confirmation (which I was still showing and explaining to the server) of payment shows a discount applied. Again I insist they check their email but they were both confrontational with me and voices were raised. This is a very awkward situation and a very bad way to spend our last night in Paris. We could have easily left having payed and especially given the rude and aggressive behaviour. In the end, the manager goes off and I assume checked his email sending the server to say we could go without an apology. Definitely avoid going there and I have complained to the app to get them removed. This is my first and probably last time using the Fork!
