5/10We went to Micu Maku due to what sounded like great reviews on Trip Advisor. However our dinner was quite disappointing compared to others we’ve had in Barcelona. It seemed to cater to Americans with non-distinct Spanish food. Atmosphere was disappointing. Paella and Sangria were disappointing. They appear to be one of several restaurants that use free shots after meals to try to boost ratings. Definitely try to find some place more authentic and catering to more of a local crowd.

8.5/10We eat a paella which was really good and the quantity more than enough for 2 persons. It was a good restaurant, the only negative point is the proximity of tables in the room...

9/10The food is really good and the service is even better, they are super sweaty. I will be back for sure when I come back to Barcelona! The only thing about this restaurant it’s the place, a little bit noisy with bad smells from the kitchen.

10/10The stuff were 100% welcoming and the service was amazing. Nico, a manager, helped not only with a table (reservation service assigned terrace table for us by default), but recommended vine, and it was superb, and a dish for our 2,5 years old boy. Dishes were delicious and big enough even for us, who like to eat.

3/10Visited this restaurant after seeing great reviews on google and fork. Was very disappointed with food, ambience and service. We had the tomato garlic bread with chicken paella- chicken paella was fine, bread was just tomato rubbed on the bread. The ambience was shabby. The service was bad- (1) staff seated us next to the bathroom despite having an empty restaurant (2) we had to wait for placing the order and receiving the bill despite it being empty and (3) staff just generally seemed unhappy to have us there. Wouldn’t go there again and won’t recommend place this to anyone.

10/10We were very impressed with Nico's EXCELLENT service. We had tapas, paella and some really nice wine. All of the reviews said this was a place mostly for tourists and I found that this was likely the case but my paella was lovely and the service we received was second to none during our trip.

3.5/10Don’t trust trip advisor again. This place is full of tourists. Doesn’t mean that it makes it bad but later we just randomly picked restaurants and their paella was much much better.

5.5/10Restaurant is very small and too crowded. We were seated in front of the door, which was restless place. There were not enough staff, although they were friendly. Seafood paella was good, tapas grilled shrimps ok.

10/10Micu Maku was incredible! The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was prompt. The ambiance was lively, with a diverse crowd, and at least one family celebrating a birthday. The walls are decorated with family, staff and community member’s photos. We had the ham croquettes which were hot, crispy on the outside, melty and delicious on inside. The, Arroz Negro Seafood Paella was rich and flavorful, with large prawns and generous amounts of shellfish. The paella was cooked perfectly with a crispy bottom that had me scraping to get every last delicious bite. My wife’s burger was huge, and juicy. The neighborhood felt vibrant and safe (appropriate caution advised Re pickpockets etc of course). We went for a walk after dinner for several blocks in the area and felt much more comfortable here than on Las Ramblas. 10/10 We’d recommend dining at MicuMaku and will come back again!

3.5/10Staff were not welcoming at all. Were kind to everyone else but not us for some reason. Although we had a reservation, they ignored us and attended to other people who came in.Paella wasn’t authentic but tasted good.
