6/10The food itself is really great here but the service is lacking. We had a reservation and they refused to seat us until 7:30 on the dot even though the restaurant was completely empty. They were pretty rude about it also. The food quality was good but with so many restaurants in Rome we would never go back.

6.5/10the restaurant had some very traditional Roman specialties on the menu but the ambiance was NOT old Roman and the execution of the dishes was far from old Roman too.. so that wasn't what I expected. the servers were nice but I wouldn't go back.. and the prices were higher than they should have been for the experience.

6.5/10We are an Italian couple who actually had on their first dates here. This place we used to love and go back to has now completely lost its “soul”, it used to a true gem, very close to the Coliseum, yet very authentic. Now it’s just another restaurant that tries to achieve maximum income with minimum effort.

7.5/10Food was really underwhelming for the price. Service was excellent,attentive and they did their best. Colosseum is nearby, but not like you have a view from the restaurant. For the pricing, you could find better a few streets down.

6.5/10We booked this restaurant as it was recommended on TripAdvisor and it was close to the Colosseum where we were at the end of the day. We were seated quickly after we arrived and the staff were attentive throughout our reservation. We ordered the antipasti platter which was very nice, however, our disappointment was with the pasta dishes….. flavour wise they are both nice, but had been advertised as fresh pasta which they clearly weren’t which was disappointing especially when in the home of pasta.

8.5/10Nice restaurant next to Colosseum with an open terrace in a quiet street. We could eat there at 15. My lasagna cacio e pepe was quite average but dishes of my friends were good and also the service was good and friendly. The dessert (chocolate mousse) was really delicious and also they brought it with a candle because it was my friend’s birthday that day! In general recommended

10/10This was a wonderful restaurant! The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. We were even served a special lentil soup which was amazing. We will definitely be back again.

10/10Went to Angelino dal 1899 based on a few sources. Plus, it was within walking distance of where we were staying. We were not disappointed! My wife and I both ordered the spaghetti Alla Amatriciana.. The basil and the bacon added so much flavor to the dish it was much better than the simple bolognese sauce we’ve had the last few days. The service was great and very helpful!

10/10This restaurant has really been a good surprise! I ate the perfect carbonara of my dream but all the pastas were delicious. I recommend this place for couple or small groups of friends who want to taste the italian food in the perfect setting of the colosseum.

5/10The meal was very good. The only problem was with the white house wine : I don't know what it was, but it was not really wine (kind of fruit juice with alcohol).

3/10The food is average and small portion. It seems average price but then when you ask for a beer is 6€ and they stab you with a 7% service fee
