7/10Food was fine but the waiter was rushing us. We ordered the menu and the waiter was coming to the table all the time to collect plates and putting a lot of pressure to serve the next course. At the end the experience was ruined by their speed and even good food wouldn’t compensate. Ps: I asked the waiter directly if we could slow down, he ignored.

8.5/10The sea food parillada was pricy but very good. Everything tasted very fresh and was prepared simple but very well. It was just the parillada nothing accompanying it which would have been nice. A boiled potato perhaps. Service was friendly. We had a bad table at first but it was changed after a short while. Atmosphere it has lots, very spanish really a sound restaurant in an otherwise touristic area!

10/10Paco Alcalde is a fantastic restaurant in Barceloneta. I’ve been there with my family during a cruise to Barcelona. We took the fixed menu and we were surprised by the food quantity and quality. Lot of starters (pan y tomate and various seafood dishes), fantastic paella and a gorgeous crema catalana. Really a fantastic experience.

10/10We have gone there on several occasions when we are able to travel to Barcelona. one of the go to places. again they have not disappointed. taking our order was prompt and food arrived quickly.

4.5/10Pros: the staff work hard & are doing their best. The location is great & decor is lovely. Cons: We’ve had a few paellas over the last few weeks & this one was not great quality. The presentation of all the food was hap hazard, prawns luke warm, many restaurants add some seafood on top of the arroz negro but this one just came out bare. The seafood paella also came out looking a bit anemic. Feels like a restaurant resting on its laurels, fed by the tourist trade, and not very proud of its food.

8/10Really good place to eat paella. We had the seafood paella and it was great. Filled with lots of shrimps, langoustines and mussles. There was not a lot of service attention and they started closing down at 22.30 while there were still tables occupied, the food was nice.

3.5/10Unfortunately, we were placed in a side room where a big, loud family had a birthday party. It was really loud. The waiter was overstained. After asking for a quiter table, the waiters argued with the birthday group, who raised a quarrel and left. The manager apologised, but did not offer any compensation. The food was not exceptional. We had a plate with grilled fish and seafood. The fish was good, while the prawns did not seem to bei really fresh. Worth mentioning is that you do not receive any side dishes to the plate, which was not explained by the waiter. We ordered some aioli bread, which is recommendable.

8/10Charming old style atmosphere, the veal milanese was really, really bad. It was thin, overcooked and almost not edible. The seafood paella was very good and tasty. We didn’t try anything else here.

10/10We went for Sunday Paella and it was wonderful. The food was really delicious. It was a menu of the day with lots of varied appetizers, seafood paella and we had Creme Catalan for dessert. My sister had the entrecote with rouquefort sauce and also loved her meal. It; had a very traditional atmosphere and most of the customers were local Spanish families. It was a few blocks from the beach and had more focus on food. I highly recommend it.
