Our experience at Trivial was fantastic. Everything from booking the reservation, to being greeted at the door, to the excellent service (including helping us pick a perfect wine to go with our meal), to the spectacular food, to our farewell at the end of the meal was delivered with attention and care. I'd go back in a heartbeat, and I highly recommend Trivial for both special occasions and just an everyday family meal.

Excellent service excellent selection on the menu great wine list. This restaurant was perfect for our group of six people. Everything tasted so good. Everybody was very happy with their meal. I highly recommend this place.

This is an amazing Portuguese restaurant, in a lovely neighborhood, and an elegant ambience. They have very consistently tasty food, especially the Steak Trivial, but everything is delicious and high quality. Be sure to book ahead, as Cristina fills up the restaurant every night. Very reasonably priced for an elegant restaurant, too. You won't be disappointed!

The place is quiet nice itself And the food is good. The food tastes delicious. However the atmosphere is lacking and the service. They seemed to not be to happy to seve customers and it really took away from what should have been a nice night for us. I wouldn't go again purely because of this.

Excellent meal quality and handsome proportions. Good wine price quality ratio. Our dinner experience would have been superb if we had not in the payment phase in the receipt found the fact that the restaurant charged for the pickled cheese, olives and peas plus the bread in total 14,05€! The pickled items and bread were ready on the table when we had been seated and we thought that the items were the typical apero type of bites which you are normally served in many restaurants as included in prices or as an italian way of “coperto”. But the fact that they cost 14€ that is in our case 14% of the final bill was very disappointing. When asking the headmaster of this fact, she showed that the items were explained with prices above the menu in a very tiny font. So, be aware. Do not touch the pickled extra if you are not ready to pay 14% extra!

Owner Cristina is always so accommodating when we bring groups of Americans to her beautiful restaurant. She is so warm, helpful, and the food is consistently delicious. I especially recommend the Steak Trivial with its amazing mushroom cream sauce. Excellent wine selection, outs watering garlic shrimp appetizer, great chicken with plums, and of course all the fish are perfectly done. It’s a must-do in Principe Real!

I truly love this restaurant. It is so quaint. They set up our table with a couvert (yes, I know they charge for it) but I haven't seen a restaurant do something like this with such care. I had the risotto which was creamy and delicious. My husband had the duck which he quiet enjoyed. The staff were charming and accommodating. I hope to go back someday.

This is the fifth time we’ve been to this restaurant and it’s always fantastic. Christina and her weight staff are constantly attentive. The food is consistently good. I absolutely love the chicken with plums, and the steak Trivial. The house wine is excellent and extremely reasonable. They also have delicious appetizers and unique tasty desserts. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want delicious traditional Portuguese food in a very nice, quiet, relaxed, setting with excellent service. They are also a great supporter of the LGBTQ community.

Cristina is a wonderful host. Our dishes of chicken, sea bass, and duck were delicious, as were the appetizers of clams au gratin and mushrooms. Also, be sure to get the lime, parfait, and lemon ice with vodka. ????

Probably the best in Principe real area if you are looking for modern Portuguese cuisine. Very good price quality ratio. If you are looking for a Portuguese restaurant that is not a tourist trap, this is the place to go. Very genuine and friendly.

A delicious Beef with peppers sauce and fries was served as well an amazing coriander creme soup! The risotto with schrimps and aspargus was good and creamy, but I would preper the schrimps a bit more cooked.A dreamy Marquise de chocolate (fluffy mousse au chocolat) was the delight of the night! We will come back!!
