We felt there wasnt enough salt in the dosas and vadas, it could be a personal taste preference as well. We added extra salt to the chutneys. The food looses its warmth by the time its brought to the basement floor from the kitchen, so it doesnt give you that hot dosa feeling. We like to go here once in while, the experience could be better, the last time we were there, someone started played loud music, it was quite annoyying.

So, I'm a South Indian and I was really curious about the restaurant's branch in Stockholm. I went along with my friends and it was a great experience. The breakfast was authentic South Indian cuisine and the taste is very much closer to the Indian standards. I would suggest Saravana Bhavan for anyone looking to try out traditional Indian cuisine in Stockholm. Loved the ambience and service as well. And kudos to the wonderful cooks.

I came to eat with my wife. We ordered rasam soup, kadai paneer punjabi and mushroom biryani. Also a cup of masala chai. First served was kadai paneer punjabi and the rice and dish was cold. Taste was fine but we felt that the portion was small. Then came very late the rasam soup, it was unfortunately ice cold and was very small in portion for 55kr, we didn’t even eat it anymore and took it for take away. Then came even later the mushroom biryani, the rice was sticky, I was not expecting Biryani to have sticky rice. We didn’t ask to reheat the soup anymore because there was already another table complaining about the food taking so long and everything is cold or not cooked properly, they don’t have enough staff maybe. They only have one cook doing the dhosas, that is one reason it was taking so long for another table. They should increase number of staff so things could get better, and they should make sure food is served hot/warm.

I was in January at this place and it was really awesome i really loved it and i could taste South India. Very good and chef came from Tamil Nadu.it was perfection. Now i was back in March and instantly noticed something changed. Maybe a new owner and i saw them and they were not really South Indian. But its all about the food of-course ans owner doesn’t have to make a difference. A other chef does . The Massala Dosa was different tast fillingYellow Potatto Sambar was very thick and very salty. I asked the waitress if there was a different chef and she said yes. That was the first thing i noticed. I ordered Itly and Massala Dosa. Massala tea was very good ans surving people were also very nice. Other thing i could not tip the waiters . I loved to do this because they were so kind. Nice staff is difficult nowedays. You should a different payment system so tips can go to staff based an many hours they work. Hope next time it will be better

The Chutney was cold and tasted stale. The sambhar was not great either. Vada was not freshly made (felt like it had come out of the microwave). Dosa tasted ok.

This is real authentic south indian food! That means it will be quite different to your common Indian restaurant. Food will be vegetarian, slightly spicier and less sweet. Lots of interesting dishes to explore. Staff very attentive and kind.

The food quality was really good. As an Indian who eats South Indian food regularly, I can definitely say this is the most authentic Indian food in all of Scandinavia + Europe. The staff was very sweet too.

This is my personal view. Waiters are not taking orders as per guest arrival. We had a long wait time because of the same. All food we ordered was not great in taste. There is fly everywhere in basement. Sad to see HSB standards have reduced in last 2 years.
