4/10This restaurant food is overrated. The food, we ordered 2 pasta dishes and they were barely ok. The pasta was tasteless and the water was not salted. We saw the 4.5 rating and wanted to have a good food experience. I should have known based on the semi empty restaurant. Maybe it was not a good chef day? The service was just OK, not much contact or even concern whether the food experience was going well. We tipped and left never to return.

10/10The food was delicious. All four of us loved our food. The tagliatelle with ragu was amazing. As was the lasagne. The restaurant is beautiful inside with big windows and skylights providing lots of natural light. We were relieved that the restaurant was pleasantly air conditioned. It was extremely hot outside and the cool air was a welcome relief. The service was friendly. We were impressed with the quality and freshness of the entrees especially at such reasonable prices. We would absolutely eat here again.

We had a large group of 10 and we were all taken care of! The food was delicious and the service was great. This dinner was a thank you for the team that worked during the book fair. We will go back again next year!

A delightful restaurant near the center of town. Excellent food. The steak tartare is memorable. Traditional, but exceptional quality to the beef. The tortellini A Balus is a star - have not had better. The server suggested a local wine, a savignon blanc, also memorable. Local, casual, but delicious.

I actually book a table just for myself, which was kind of awkward for me, but the waiter was very welcoming and polite so I loved that. The atmosphere was perfect and the food... ❤️ Tortellini a balus is a must for sure.

+2A nice restaurant in the center of Bologna, with traditional regional dishes. The service has been very attentive and are able to provide a good hint of the menu. Primi piatti are higher level than secondi piatti. We highly recommend to order Tortellini A’ Balus.

We have been in Emilia Romagna for two weeks and have eaten some amazing meals. Lunch today at this restaurant was right up there with the best. Tortelloni with mushroom sauce and the tortellini with truffles were so good! And the roasted potatoes were delicious!

8/10The resturant interior was nice. The staff knowledgeable and personable. Our starter was good. Our second course - duck was excellent, but COLD ratatouile ? And Scottana beef and potatoes were not good.. The wine was good.

10/10Lovely restaurant and ambience matched by a warm and friendly welcome - so a great start to the evening. It got even better with the food that was fantastic my wife and I had different starters and main courses so we got to see 4 different dishes and all were great tasting and presented really well. Matched with a great bottle of wine. The pace and tempo was also really good they genuinely wanted us in there no rush once finished.

10/10We had a wonderful lunch of regional specialties. The decor and ambience were delightful and the staff very helpful. The food was AMAZING. overall, good value for the price. Highly recommend for a special lunch or dinner. We were entertaining a local so needed it to be good - it did not disappoint.
