We had the Risotto Milanese both of us and it was excellent! The restaurant was elegant but friendly and cosy. We were well treated in every way and we were comfortable that we could speak English. A very nice restaurant worth visiting!

In the midst of an extremely tourist focused environment, Al Cantinone manages to maintain an extraordinary traditional italian restaurant where you can find regional food and meet locals added to an excelent ambience and service.

Excellent food , like your momma would make in your own kitchen .. best osso bucco I have ever had .. The zucchini Flowers were exceptional as well 👍

Loved the filet mignon, big portions. Very good wine list. Super service. Nice ambiance with white linen tablecloths. Unfortunately the is so bucco veal shanks were dry and risotto was tasteless.

We absolutely loved the food and the service here! The meal was memorable - especially our three different varieties of risotto! Delicious and unusual and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and thoughtful. We had a wonderful experience and we will be back the next time we’re in Milan!

I’ve come here twice just for the Veal and the Risotto. Excellent.

Our waiter was incredible and she made the evening enjoyable. However, I was promised a 5 star risotto in Milan and it definitely wasn’t. I algo saw some folks complaining about the risotto. Not worth the penny $$. You can find cheaper options around.

The veal chop cutlet was cooked exactly as I requested it. The service was very good.

I think a restaurant service charge is ridiculous despite a low amount - the principle of the charge is bad. Veal was dry as were the potatoes. Appetizer bruschetta was very good and the tiramisu was delicious. Very close to our air bnb but I would not recommend it to any one.

Our hotel concierge recommended Al Cantinone Unione and it was a great pick! Amazing food and great wine selection. We started with the Trio of Bruschette then ended with the beef filet and risotto - all delicious! We wanted a true taste of Milanese risotto and this did not disappoint. But the best was the wine - their Bonarda was incredible and paired perfectly with our meal. We ended up buying a bottle to take home!

One the of the nicest dining experiences I’ve had, very ambient and relaxing. The service was unreal, always on hand but not imposing. I went for a veal Milanese risotto and it did not disappoint. Wine great and very reasonable. Would go again.

We had hoped this version of Il Cantinone would be like the original. It was not. Although the appetizers were very good, everything else was not well-presented and monotonous after the first bite, and my house spaghetti was way-overpowered by the anchovies. Also, they didn’t have the ability to make simple, even traditional, drinks well. Our waitress was sweet, but both at the beginning and end of the meal no one was paying any attention.

I was enjoyed to try "risotto a la milanese " but the dish was no taste and rice was "al dente". What a shame.

They overcharge tourists intentionally. CHECK YOUR BILL. To top it off the food is mediocre at best. Do yourself a big favor and skip this place.

The food was delicious. Risotto with lemon and mint was wonderful, as was beef carpaccio and veal milanese. Service was attentive -- including calling us a taxi at the end of the meal, when it was raining. Highly recommend.

Nice atmosphere. Mor quiet and romantic than other places, especially in the front left seating area. Staff was very helpful. Ossobuco with risotto milanese was so tender and delicious.

I had an excelent dinner, we ordered risotto with porcini mushroom and cotoletta with risotto milanese. As a drink 1 bottle of ribolla gialla. The tastes and the size of plates are really good , even 1 plate can be sharable easily. Only problem is , it is expensive. We paid 72 euros for 2 people for 1 risotto and cotoletta with risotto and a bottle of wine. For me it is the one of the expensive ristorante in Milan
