I visited Al Fresco two years ago and back then my experience was excellent. So I really waited this dinner, I had great expectations. But I have to say that I was a little bit disappointed. Food quality was not that good this time. But worst was the service: too fast! I had still a last bite in my mouth when the waiter took my plate away (starter) and main course was served at same second. No time to enjoy your dinner!

Second visit, there will be a third. Everything about this place is just about right. The building, atmosphere, staff and food are delightful. Thank you.

The waiter suggest catch of day and it’s not very yummy. Not worth the money. Also plate cool down very quick, we nearly didn’t have it. Also the bread is not tasty too. In Italy, it’s below everage level.

It was a great dinner at Al Fresco. From their specially prepared bread, to the quality of ingredients, we enjoyed our dinner a lot.

Great location. Service was just ok. We had to flag down waiter to get an order in. They were closing. We could not get desert or coffee. We got the check and left. Food was good.

The best food we are in Milan. Great atmossphere in the garden. It was a great summer evening.

The food was very disappointing and this service was unfortunately likewise. For example, the plates were taken away while we still where holding the cutlery in our hands, still food in our mouth and we had not signaled that we have finished the first course….

The garden like atmosphere is quite lovely. The veal milanese was prepared classically and tasted delicious. The pistachio dessert was a perfect ending. Highly recommend!

I had been wanting to try Al Fresco for a long time, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The garden setting offers a serene, idyllic atmosphere: an oasis in the heart of Milan. On top of that, the food was outstanding… every dish was beautifully presented and simply melted in the mouth. And best of all, I got to share it with people I love. What more could one wish for?

the staff wasn't really that serval and welcoming. The food was quite overpriced for the presentation it had and bland taste. The ambience one the other hand, really well achieved.

Torni a mangiare le Specialità che fa a casa sua, nel suo Paese...e ci resti..

Everything about our meal was perfect. The outside garden is a beautiful setting. We had zucchini flowers stuffed with codfish which were perfectly fried. Our two main courses were excellent. The dessert a huge profiterole was so good too. Excellent service as well. I live in NY but would definitely be back otherwise.

I understand why they are so highly rated here, the atmosphere for a quiet meal, the service, and the food. Absolutely amazing and definitely would come back.

Great food, poor customer service: we sat outside, sun was still high and heating on us and food, asked to be moved to another table and they were quite annoyed and said no; then I had to ask again and finally they moved us but basically they unattended the table - no waiter was really servicing us and ignoring for the rest of the night.

Excellent venue. We ate outdoors in the garden which was an oasis in Milan. Lovely food, Service was very attentive. The top dish was pasta in seafood salsa.Will certainly go again and would recommend Al Fresco. (up market but grand for a celebratory occasion))

The restaurant is lovely - a beautiful garden with scented plants, lovely light (we ate during the day). The food was wonderful and we could see - from other tables who appeared to be enjoying themselves - that there are some great staff in the restaurant. Our waiter however was disengaged, rude and slow. I think he managed to serve us without making any eye contact, seemed to roll his eyes at our menu choices and then avoided us for most of the meal. It’s a pity - because the place seems so lovely.

The venue is really nice and waiters are very kind. However there is something that should be improved as this is supposed to be a medium high level restaurant and in any case this should not happen: Hair in the appetizer and a. glass spotted with rossetto was not really nice to see.

Beautiful restaurant, but the food wasn’t good. My sea bass and potatoes were very dry and bland, and my husbands steak was bland and undercooked. Disappointing as it is such a beautiful place

The food and the environment were excellent, but our waiter was awful and made mistakes on our order. We were very disappointed about his demeanor.

Good quality food. Overpriced though. The service is not great - only one option of wine by the glass, no explanation nor extra info on the food. You basically order and they bring it to the table - not more, not less.

Nice setting for Al fresco dining. Good food however dry and impersonal service. Such a shame the ambience and the staff are not very welcoming. I would have appreciated recommendations on wines and a bit more guidance on the menu. Overall a nice experience but nothing special or anything be remembered.

Great experience ! Great atmosphere, the dishes were tasty and best of all when a small issue occurred with one of our desert : the came back with two additional ones and especially the one we were hesitating to take as well ;) great customer service

Pasta was extremely salty, almost inedible. My friend is vegetarian and we requested a dish without any meat/fish. She received a dish with pasta and, of course, fish. The waiter did not admit to his mistake after we repeatedly checked with him that the dish had no fish and eventually, another waiter willing to cooperate came and offered my friend another dish. Dessert was alright but not outstanding. Their starter was also very basic. Overall, not worth the money one bit. The staff was rude, uncooperative and the food was bad, it seems like the chef goes for just one taste and that is salty
