Excellent experience all round. The rigatoni carbonara and the slow cooked pork were just amazing. There is a good wine list that is very reasonably priced by American standards. The service was very friendly and welcoming and it gives Al Posticino a homey neighborhood ambiance. The family ownership really makes a difference. Will definitely return (and so will you!)

Food was excellent. Service was OK. For example, the waiter brought out the bottle of wine we ordered. He did show us the bottle to confirm that it was the correct wine, and also so that we could the vintage, which is not provided on the wine list. He opened the wine, placed on the table and left. Usually, you would expect to have a little poured into your glass to taste and confirm that there are no issues with the wine, such as being corked. The wine was fine, but this practice of having to pour your own wine is not a huge issue for us, but somewhat unexpected, It's a practice which is common in Frascati. We still left a tip in recognition of the excellent dishes. Despite that minor issue with the wine, we can highly recommend Al Posticino, and is a must for anyone travelling to Frascati.

Italian food with a little twist. Slightly different from traditional but in a good way. Lasagne was delicious. The restaurant as the kitchen is rather small so you can expect to wait for food especially if you're a larger group. Service was however smooth and professional.

Really enjoyed the blend of traditional and A la carte Roman cuisine. This is a very good restaurant with a friendly Chef and staff, who were all happy to make recommendations. The menu constantly updated to incorporate the produce in season. Recommend for something special however, my kids enjoyed and the price was very good with great quality food.
