From the food to people working there, really just a perfect meal all around. Luis was wonderful, charming, attentive, and great to speak to. My guests made a second reservation for another dinner here before we were even two courses in! Don't sleep on this.

Everything about the restaurant was wonderful. The ambience, the service, the food and drinks! The staff was attentive and personable throughout the evening and we enjoyed the details about the food and combination of flavors. It is a small place, so I would recommend booking in advance. The best meal in Italy during our 2 week visit!

We had an exceptional evening at Al Tocco! It is a cozy and charming place next to the main square of Cortona. You can order a la cart but it is worth going with one of the tasting menus, one more locally inspired and one more open ended. Luis is not only an incredible host but his knowledge and passion for wine is unsurpassed. If you want a fine dining experience, rare and unique wines, relaxed and friendly atmosphere - you probably won't be able to pick a better place in the region!

Louis was an amazing host. Our party of 8 ordered the Go Blind or Go Home with wine pairing. The Chefs offerings were imaginative and delicious. The staff excelled. Most highly recommended.

Il Tocco is a little gem in Cortona. Be quick to reserve a table as they only have a few. The wines are excellent, the food outstanding and different from other tuscan restaurants (although I love picci ;) and the service is attentive. Was out second time and def not our last!

2nd visit to Al Tocco. The ambiance, owner, staff, chef, food, wine , coffee all 5*. We had a la carte choices. The presentation and quality and creativity of the food was exquisite and incredibile. The sourdough bread is to die for too. All 3 courses we had were a treat and the aperitivi and negroni was excellent. Chose Amerighi Syrah wine which was superb for our tastes. Finca el Cerro coffee was great too. All in all it was a lovely meal and night out. 5*

An incredible experience. The amuse bouche were fabulous and the wine pairings were some of the best I have ever had. The deserts were not to be missed either! The cappuccino—and the cheesecake was so subtle and balanced. We had such a fabulous experience we booked another reservation for two days later. If you are looking for a change from the standard Italian fare with elevated dishes that take inspiration from a variety of locations, I highly recommend.

Luis and team are enthusiastic and committed to a gourmet experience. For the 4-course taster menu, the fresh ingredients locally sourced were presented in enticing forms in balanced portions. We had red wine representative of one of the best growing regions, which had character without being too complex. We conversed with a neighboring table for travel ideas for Cortona, a place rich in history. This restaurant is a cut above the typical on town.

The chef and service staff were obviously dedicated to giving their diners the best food and wine experience possible. The dishes were beautifully presented and all delicious. We did the chefs menu with the wine pairing—interesting wines that complemented the flavors of the fresh ingredients very well. Friendly, professional and vibrant people! A memorable meal. Will definitely return.

Al Tocco is my favorite restaurant in Cortona (and that is saying a lot these days -- the food scene is pretty unreal for town this size). The chef is creative and makes beautiful, thoughtful, and delicious food. Luis at the front of house is everything you could hope for in an energetic host. Guaranteed to be a fun evening!
