Allemansgeest offers refined French-inspired cuisine in a stunning setting overlooking the water. The interior is beautifully renovated, combining authentic old charm with modern finishes. The food is always sublime, with spot on wine recommendations. This is what keeps us coming back here!

The food is good to excellent. Ingredients are of high quality and well prepared. My only criticism regarding the food is the plating of the main dish, which looked rather clumsily threw on a plate compared to the first two courses.

It was the perfect setting to celebrate our anniversary in a cozy yet stylish ambiance. We were lucky with the weather & were able to sit outside which made our evening more romantic. The food was simply excellent; everything we took was delicious, superbly presented & in sufficient quantity. The waiters were attentive & friendly, so that adds more positive points to the whole experience. Overall, it is really worth a visit.

We had an excellent business lunch. We were done in 1h15 with 3 courses lunch. It was delicious haute cuisine. Portions were perfect and service impeccable. Location with nice view on the river. Free private parking available. I recommend this restaurant and I will be fore sure back.

This restaurant is directly located on the “Vliet” which is a small river that a lot of people use during summertime. When the weather is good you can eat outside with nice views. But we visited mid winter so we had a table inside. The building has a lot of character; you can see it’s age but it also has a nice modern feel. Tables are well situated in the room. Offering cozy places to enjoy your dinner party, but still hearing a light buzz from other tables. We had the 4-course chefs menu with wine pairing; it was perfect! We started with some bubbles, nice! Everything from the menu was very tasteful, in season and just a delight for the eyes and pallet. Wine pairing was very nice, even got a slight refill on our favorite red wine that came with the duck course (a GSM). Staff was very attentive, knowledgeable and kind. We enjoyed it a lot and finished with coffee and homemade chocolates. At approximately € 120 per person it really was money well spend! We would definitely come back here soon! Great job team at Allemansgeest!!

We were pleased to be able to say that 'Allemansgeest is back'! After a rather disappointing visit a year or so ago, we were very impressed by the cuisine style this time, which has reverted to how we remember it over many years. A more classical, straight forward, less fussy style now but still with imagination and excellent cooking. Only the desserts were lacking a wow factor! Good wine list (even if on the expensive side).

Chef's menu is a combination of solid classics prepared to a tee with surprising novel twists in sides and amuses. Very good service and pleasant ambiance with enough space per table. Will definitely come back.

New owner, new chef, new take on the cuisine, but not for the better unfortunately. Trying to be too clever, too many flavours on the plate. I have seen too many good restaurant’s to go down this path and end up in disaster. Even the more traditional dishes now have additional ingredients on the plate. This was a high quality french restaurant, now it doesn’t seem to know what it is.
