The restaurant boasts a delightful atmosphere, with polite and attentive staff who go out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. However, diners should be prepared for innovative flavors and unique ingredient combinations. While these creations showcase haute cuisine at its finest, they may not appeal to everyone and often require a more adventurous palate to fully appreciate.

The staff helped us celebrate our 60th anniversary. They described the menu options, and suggested a wine. The dinner, the wine, and the little treats were all excellent. We felt like they gave us our special night in Rome!

This restaurant was a little find. Every dish was executed with great care and attention. We loved that the chef used local ingredients and local cuisine with a fine dining twist. The ambience was calm and a refuge from the hectic historic centre tourist mayhem. It is set in the quiet neighbourhood of Prati so a little off the beaten track but well worth a visit. We had a wonderful experience and I hope the restaurant gets the recognition it deserves in the shape of a star!

A restaurant with a potential to earn a Michelin star. Unfortunately there aren’t wine pairing by glass. There can be more selections in wine menu. All dishes were nice except the beef at the end, but it can be subjective. Worth a try. Great value!

This restaurant is a nice, small restaurant. Easy to find and near public transport stops. Food and ambiance was great. 4 course menu with wine pairing we had, great combinations and perfect match. Food was served too fast, we hadn't finished our course, when next glasses were filled already. We asked to slow down a little, which was great. Wonderful dining and venue, a special treat!

We were hesitant heading in to the evening given that everyone has their own idea of “excellent”. This restaurant was truly lovely. Staff is dedicated and professional, chef was on pointe through the entire meal and the wine pairings were ideal. Atmosphere was calm and welcoming. They took care of everything right to the taxi home. A must try for a solid night out in Rome.

We had a really nice dinner with my wife. The menu was original and really tasty. The service was impeccable, and the server spoke french, which was better for me :) We are sure we'll be back in this restaurant one day, during our next stop in Rome. We recommend you to test it!

We did the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing and were blown away. There was a great deal of innovation and extremely high quality food. The wine was paired perfectly to play off the food just right. Highly recommend spending an evening here

We chose Almato for our anniversary and our final dinner in Roma and it did not disappoint. My wife is a vegetarian so I imagine it’s a challenge to do a five course meal to satisfy both our tastes. We also got to meet Chef Tommaso to top the night off!

I really appreciated and enjoyed the use of seasons ingredients and there were some creative flavor combinations. The palette cleanser with the melon, pickle and dill was fantastic! The service was excellent and wine pairing for tasting menu was divine. They even added a candle to my partners dessert for his birthday celebration. Great relaxed and intimate setting. Wonderful for a special night out.

We had higher expectations. Do not serve cocktails because they do not have a bartender. Do not choose the tasting menu because it was a blinded one. My food was cold . The service was ok not excellent. The ambiance and decor need to improve.

Found this restaurant by accident and it was amazing. Service from booking until the end was very smooth. Food was delicious, beautiful and absolutely one of the best dinners ever (5 course menu). For the future: more focus on wines going with the food. Maybe also to improve would be to more offer wine or drinks during the course of the dinner.

The five course tasting menu, plus little extras, was delicious. Recommended wine pairings were also spot on. Staff very attentive & lovely. We went on a Monday evening, so only two other table covers, but an intimate venue anyway.

My wife put it best during our dinner together: “the ambience of this restaurant was clearly designed by a man and focuses on minimalism, rather than ambiance”. We were at the five course tasting menu, was pleasantly surprised at the variety and quantity of will presented dishes, which were offered. In this aspect, this restaurant is both generous and capable of creating an amazing dining experience. The amouse bouche consisted of 5! delightful, and visually pleasing dishes. All in all, the forthcoming remaining courses were both tasty and visually interesting. This sommelier made excellent recommendations with the wine which we enjoyed by the glass. When our beef course was not up to par, we were surprised by new course of lamb, which was sensational. To earn its first Michelin star, this restaurant has a bit of a way to go, but it is certainly worth a try.

We had the 5 course tasting menu and it was incredible! The dishes are very well thought out, unique and delicious combinations and the food just kept coming and coming (I'm sure you could market it as more than 5 course). The staff were all amazing, super friendly and knowledgeable. The chef also came out to speak to us and it made for a great evening. Would absolutely recommend and will be returning when next in Rome.
