I get the feeling was pre prepared and only heated when ordered. Mine was served cold so had to Ask for it to be heated. Nothing special at all.

Excellent food with great service. Owner is charming and he even busses tables helps serve. The sea bass was delicious! Rice balls insane. Definitely a must when in Perugia

The antipasti all involved bread. We asked for olives instead and they didn’t have any. They gave us olive oil and bread and then kindly brought some beans in tomato on the house. The menu is very long, presumably to cater for different nationalities. We especially liked the roast squash and home made chips. The deserts were excellent. The service was good by individuals but we were served by four different people during the meal.

Food was good and significantly better quality than the tourist spots on old town main square. Great ambiance with air conditioning. Can accommodate larger parties. Great service and individual greeting from staff. Food was good, with some adventurous options.

We were a family group of seven and each one of us had a wonderful dinner. The service was personal and attentive. The food was varied and delicious. We would definitely recommend.

Food lacked depth of flavour. Osso bucco was very gristely. Staff were pleasant but service was rushed. Overall just average.

We have dined at Altromondo often over the years as we are residents in Perugia and are always pleased with the quality of the food, service and welcoming environment. Highly recommend this restaurant and try the ossobuco, spigola, asparagi Bismark . Delicious!

Wonderful restaurant in Perugia. Best food I had in Italy. Terrific service. Friendly and not overrun with tourists. Go you won't be disappointed.

welcome from the start. evocative vaulted dining room. delicious food, reasonable prices, good menu selection. truffle specials: puff pastry with spinach pecorino and truffles, eggplant rolatini, gnocchi with truffles, tortelli with ricotta and ham. vino rosso Della casa 14E. all very good. great waitstaff. loved it!

The expires was excellent the service the food the BEST!!!! Thank to the owner of restaurant . This is the second time visited restaurant the two time was exceptional.

The atmosphere (very good taste), the service and, mainly, the wonderful dishes will be unforgettable. I recommend the Spaguetti Alle Vongole. Unmissable!

Excellent Umbrian food. Wonderful attentive service. We were welcomed by owner Claudio. The restaurant's ambience is amazing with ancient vaulted ceilings. Beautiful ecperience.

Superb restaurant. We came here 3 times during our week's stay. Fabulous food and the most wonderful staff that were attentive and great fun. If you come to Perugia, you MUST visit here.

From the moment we arrived, we felt hurried. We were seated and given menus very quickly. My wife excused herself to the bathroom right away. While she was gone, and while I was perusing the menu, a waitress came and served each of us a complimentary bean dish. Now I am alone at the table, trying to look at my menu, without setting it into the bean dish. Soon after my wife returned, and before she had looked at her menu, and trying to keep it out of the bean dish, a waitress appeared and wanted to take our order. We told her we had not yet reviewed the menu. She seemed somewhat perturbed, but agreed to come back. She returned just a few minutes later. My wife was ready to order, but I was not. I asked for her to come back again, and this time she seemed rather put out. After placing our orders, our food arrived too quickly to have been prepared fresh, and it had likely been sitting around for a while. My wife found hers to be unpalatable and sent it back. This diner was a bust.

The owner was very welcoming and the food and service were excellent! This was by far the best restaurant we have experienced over our 2 week stay in Italy. It was so good we actually went back a second time!

Loved the parpardelle al cinghiale. And the suppli (arancini) appetizer was delicious too. Don't make a lunch reservation later than 1:30 to avoid being rushed.

Enthusiastic young staff with the hands-on owner making sure everything was perfect. Excellent menu options (plus English translation) and food. Perfect evening. Mostly Italian clientele.

Very good food! We had three primis to share between us two and a desert. Everything was very tasty. They knew what to recommend and the whole setting was fabulouse.

Best restaurant in Perugia Italia

I visited this restaurant on my first evening in Perugia as a solo traveller. I was a little anxious but the staff quickly put me at ease and helped me deal with the menu. I thought it was perfect, super flavoursome food including some house tasters. The house wine was good and I appreciated the artisan bread. It was busy and some might consider it a little noisy but I would rather be in an environment where people are relaxing and enjoying company of friends and the food rather than a quiet refined dining experience. I ate at several restaurants during my week in Perugia but I went to Altromondo twice.

The cellar is beautiful and the staff fantastic. Sea bass was delicious! Recommend highly
