Amazing food and great service.

Love the style of menu where dishes can be starter or main course - the choice is excellent. Food presentation and quality is first class and the service is exceptional. The sommelier Jorge is also very knowledgeable. The view from the restaurant overlooking the first hole of Quinta North and beyond provides a wonderful setting. All in all Amara offers a first class culinary experience and it’s always a pleasure to eat there.

A relaxed & friendly atmosphere with superb food which is beautifully presented. Wine pairing was excellent with the sommeliers knowledge and experience adding to the wonderful experience. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and knowledgable about the menu, proving personal recommendations. We loved the evening once again and Hope to return soon

A warm welcome and a lovely setting The menu has something for all The service is amazing! The staff are excellent and really know how to make their guests feel special The presentation of the food is very artful and appealing The taste of the food is delicious and the chef has really put flavours together that work The sommelier really knows his wines and explains them in a simple but knowledgable way without spending too long at the table. The wine pairings he chose for us were exceptional and worked with every course. The atmosphere is conducive to good conversation with a buzzy but not too loud vibe. The tables are well spaced The menu is well priced and excellent value for money We will return!

Once again excellent food- beautifully presented. Friendly & knowledgable staff. Wine pairing was truly complementary to the food choices. Really the very best food and the best value in the area. We will be back again very soon!

Everything the staff the food the service was all excellent and we have visited twice this week and on both occasions it was the same brilliant and excellent value for money and shouldn’t be missed.

Excellent food — a memorable first visit. We went there for the first time and were not disappointed. The ambiance is relaxed, set in a beautiful and inviting space. The menu is thoughtfully balanced, and each dish is artfully presented without feeling over-engineered - but very fine. From start to finish, every course was a pleasure. I began with the sardine/crab starter — excellent — followed by pork shoulder and lamb, both perfectly cooked. The flavors were spot-on: refined yet approachable, never confusing, and never dull. For dessert, I tried the Portuguese cheese — very good, though I typically prefer dry French cheeses, so I can’t offer a fair comparison. Although I don’t know much about Portuguese wines, the sommelier did a fantastic job pairing each course. The Acores white is just amazing. Well done to the chef and the entire team — we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

We enjoyed the food immensely but felt the pairing wines were not worth it. Will stick to the wine list next time. Very overrated

A lovely place with a warm atmosphere and great service. We tried the four-course tasting menu with dessert, and every dish was beautifully balanced in flavors and textures. The Portuguese wine pairings were a perfect match for each course, making the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant is easy to find, simple to book, and has convenient parking nearby. Pricing is reasonable for this level of cuisine compared to other restaurants in the region. A perfect spot for those who appreciate flavor and wine pairings. Definitely worth a visit!

The team led by Daniela makes this an amazing dining experience. The quality and imaginative food is always excellent and the wine pairing allows you to experience wines you might not otherwise choose. Good value for money given the quality.
