+1Food was unimpressive. My Pad Thai was lacking flavor and over sweet. The cauliflower was nice. Wine chosen by the glass was very good. Service and comfort were pretty good.

Interesting food - well presented- a fusion of Japanese and Italian. Great service too. Easy to find in the old town. A pleasing change from standard pasta and assorted sauces. Not that cheap, but worth it. Ambiance is cool and ‘young’

10/10A lovely restaurant off the beaten track/ tourist hotspot that serves different food to the usual pasta and pizza which is delicious. The staff were friendly helpful and attentive. We had a lovely evening and can highly recommend this restaurant.

7/10The food was good but cooking was inconsistent. Service was alright, they messed up the order at first. It was decent overall, but I’m not sure it is worth going out of your way to have it unless you’re tired of the other good stuff.

6.5/10Setting, servicé, wine, price all very good. The food not-so-much. In fact weirdly bad. The starters were a bit strange but Ok. You wouldn’t have grumbled if you’d bought them at a shopping centre food court. My partner’s eggplant parmigano was excellent - but, again, food court level. My steak was a good cut excellently cooked. With skin-on chips. And served on a thick slice of bread with a bit of gravy. I thought maybe I’d ordered badly but the menu gave no clues such as ‘steak in toast’. Might be a case of vision exceeding execution or, more prosaically, not giving a toss but, either way, no idea how Amo Bistrot made it’s way into the Michelin Guide.

10/10Everything was perfect. The Amo cocktail was delicious and was served with a small pot of cheese fondue and crispy bread. My main dish was Marinated Salmon with Koji rice— the salmon melted in my mouth. The service was impeccable even though they were also attending to a party of 17. I highly recommend this restaurant.

10/10Best meal in Italy this trip. It was a bit of an unexpected combination but we love both Japanese and Italian so we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The Bao was out favorite. The ambiance is very romantic especially the garden. Next time we will put this restaurant on our must visit again list.

10/10Loved our meal. The food is very creative. I asked our waiter what his favorite pasta dish is and he said the carbonara as the chef used to work in Rome (home of carbonara). It was amazing. Served in a surprising and creative way. The decor is lovely. The staff is attentive and polite. I’d love to return!
