thank you madame. I'm happy to have found the perfect red wine for your dinner. "Oscuru oscuru " Al Cantara winery is a good Red Etna wine. The winery won the first place at Vinitaly 2023.

+1We found this gem through a recommendation from our airbnb owner. The owner of the restaurant was very friendly. He spoke a little English, and we had no issues communicating. We ate there on his first night of opening for the season (tourism/busy season?). He apologized for having a smaller menu due to it being the first night open, and only having 1 or 2 staff there, but the menu was still large enough to satisfy the palates of a hungry group of 7, 1 or 2 of whom are particular eaters. The food was VERY tasty and we enjoyed our meal thoroughly. The ambiance of the restaurant is very unassuming on the outside, but on the inside, you feel like you stepped through time, into a room with an arched stone ceiling with a beautiful chandelier. We left with full bellies and would return again!

A nice place near the centre of Ortigia where you can eat Sicilian food. We had 2 starters with aubergine and zucchini. For mains we had 2 different pastas. For us a little to al dente. Great taste but 2 minutes more boiling of the pasta would have been a little less chewy. Nice service and a good place to eat.

10/10Such an excellent restaurant!!! We had tuna and salmon- sous vide. Amazing! It is the first restaurant in Sicily where besides the wines to pair with each dish, they would have also list of other cocktails for pairing by food. Best gin cocktail I have had. Also they would pair with your food the right olive oil! What made this restaurant special for us was the service- we got the kindest and nicest help during our dinner- thank you, David!

9.5/10Located 5 minutes walking from the main Piazza Duomo in Ortigia, atmosphere is nice, quiet and the hall is spacious and elegant but in a simple way. The quality of food is excellent with a good balance of creativity and tradition. There's also a selection of cocktails that are matched and suggested for every meal. The cocktails that we tried were supergood. Service is excellent too, very competent. Price is absolutely fair for what you get.

10/10Amazing meal at Antica Corte dei Bottari, a charming place with a really lovely interior, amazing food and very good service even when the restaurant was short staffed. We had the spaghetti with tuna roe, swordfish, and octopus- all to die for! I would absolutely come back here

10/10Unique place! A pleasent escape from the noisy streets of Syracuse, and at the same time - 200 meters from the Cathedral. Real slow cooked food - extremely delicious, nothing like the frozen touristic food offered on the streets outside. A different and wonderful experience! One of the must try things in Syracuse!

8.5/10The spaghetti with clams and mussels was excellent. The shellfish were clean, tender and delicate — perfectly cooked. The beef and tuna secondi were both overcooked. The service was very attentive. There was no wine list provided to us. Instead the waiter offered 1-2 varietals. The restaurant should upgrade this aspect of the dining experience. The prices were reasonable. The portions were large, in fact larger than we were able to finish.

Thanks a lot for your review . I’ m sorry if you didn’t understand that we don’t grill, we cooked at low temperature. For the wine, if you want to drink by glass, it is very impossible for us to make a choose to any customer . otherwise there would be dozens of open wines, which then oxidize and are wasted. By bottle is different, you choose the wine that you prefer and you drink that. If you come next time you can try other wine and i am happy to explain all. Good bye

Excellent pasta and desert. Disappointing fish. Kind waiter but he did not propose to change our meal... It was dry and cold. I would go again for pasta... I got a 50 euros fork credit but still no reason not to change my dish...

Thanks for your review. when you chose the dish, I had described it to you. Fish in dried fruit crust. It was not fried! You want try. We can’t change a dish if you want try and than you don’t like it!! You had a 50€ Yums Credit and you spent 53,5€ . For you only 3,5 €. If you want try other next time you can, but you have to pay it!

8/10We enjoyed the food and booking through the Fork worked well. We arrived just at the same time as a huge tour group: ours was the only other table! This meant that the atmosphere was a bit overwhelmed by Spanish speaking, we enjoyed it despite this but it would have been better to have had a more mixed clientele

10/10The location is very beautiful, magical I’d say. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The dishes were superb, excellent taste and presentation. The size though, to be honest, was not big enough for the price paid (appetizer and second course). Overall, highly recommend!
