We found this gem through a recommendation from our airbnb owner. The owner of the restaurant was very friendly. He spoke a little English, and we had no issues communicating. We ate there on his first night of opening for the season (tourism/busy season?). He apologized for having a smaller menu due to it being the first night open, and only having 1 or 2 staff there, but the menu was still large enough to satisfy the palates of a hungry group of 7, 1 or 2 of whom are particular eaters. The food was VERY tasty and we enjoyed our meal thoroughly. The ambiance of the restaurant is very unassuming on the outside, but on the inside, you feel like you stepped through time, into a room with an arched stone ceiling with a beautiful chandelier. We left with full bellies and would return again!

A nice place near the centre of Ortigia where you can eat Sicilian food. We had 2 starters with aubergine and zucchini. For mains we had 2 different pastas. For us a little to al dente. Great taste but 2 minutes more boiling of the pasta would have been a little less chewy. Nice service and a good place to eat.

It has a small menu, but everything was executed well. The stuff squid was exquisite. The local wine suggestion was also great.

Such an excellent restaurant!!! We had tuna and salmon- sous vide. Amazing! It is the first restaurant in Sicily where besides the wines to pair with each dish, they would have also list of other cocktails for pairing by food. Best gin cocktail I have had. Also they would pair with your food the right olive oil! What made this restaurant special for us was the service- we got the kindest and nicest help during our dinner- thank you, David!
