3/10Really bad service and mediocre food. They didn’t get a single thing that we ordered right and we had to ask several times for various things. It took very long to get every single thing that we ordered and the food wasn’t very good. I recommend you to go somewhere else.

5/10Obvious tourist trap. Referred by hotel, struck by the poor response by front of house. When showed to the courtyard it’s warm, without a breeze despite many fans and just too hot. Sitting inside is awkward as it’s entirely empty and devoid of waiters. The service is poor, waiters don’t know if they have juice for the and need to be reminded 3 times before returning with an answer. What seems more important to them appears to be selling you on the catch of the day which is terribly overpriced at 80 euros per kilo. Uncooked weight. When we asked to order something else we were told it was not as good. How dumb can you be? We would’ve walked out if we didn’t have hungry children with us. The food was ok. The sea bream with mashed potatoes was not bad, although a bit on the bland side. The pasta nicely al dente but nothing special flavor wise. The meatballs tasted like MSG. Then came the rose salesman, sealing the deal of this tourist trap. There’s many better restaurants in Milan

5.5/10The food was not tasty.. something was wrong with the pastas, mine was too salty, my friend’s pasta was plain, with no taste… the scallops were not bad, but I expected more from this restaurant. Regret spending time here on my last night in Milano :((

6.5/10We had dinner there. The outdoor dining area was very nice and cool even on a warm day. The server only stopped by our table for the food and drink orders. We had to wave her down to ask for additional bottle of water. Food was okay. We ordered the fried calamari and crawfish (called red shrimp), tagliatelle with bolognese, veal ossobuco with risotto, and sea bass with asparagus and tomato. I’ve seen so many reviews that the seafood is fresh but the sea bass wasn’t and the texture tasted like lean catfish fillet and not the rich and oily sea bass that you would expect.

7.5/10Garden setting is beautiful. Our first impression of our server was positive but rapidly deteriorated. Told him I wanted a glass of dry white wine and he asked me if he could bring his recommendation…. What he brought was horrible and sweeter. He took our orders … then came back to ask what starter we had ordered… he came back ten minutes later to ask which entrees we had ordered. He volunteered he would hold the entrees until we signalled him. The entrees came before starters were finished without any request by us. Food was OK but nothing special. Took forever to get the check so we could pay. Nice setting but would not recommend based on service and food

7/10Loved the decor of this place. We ordered Milanese food which was tasty, although we were somewhat disappointed with the magical came and tiramisu. It wasn't anything special. Considering the steep price we paid, we felt the service was a let down. Maybe because we weren't locals. We felt ignored and somewhat rushed even though the restaurant wasn't even busy. The waiter who served us was rude, clearing my husband's plate even though I was still eating and took away our bread which we were planning to have later during the meal. I wouldn't come back here any time soon.

10/10This was our second visit to this restaurant, after one year we came back to Milan and had to come back to ANTICA OSTERIA CAVALLINI. The wait staff is so kind and friendly, the food is incredible and the garden is one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Thank you for another great visit, can’t wait to see you all again.

6/10I put a reservation down at 10:30pm, the restaurant called me 3 times during the day to confirm i was actually going. Third time they called me at 10:05 to ask me if I was close cause the kitchen closes at 10:30 (so confusing cause the called me already and nobody mentioned that and reservation are open until 12.30 am). We weren’t able to show up earlier and as we seated the waiter was clearly in a rush to serve us. He was still trying to be professional but his body language was clearly showing zero patient so my friends and I rushed to finish our meal. The meal was ok, nothing special. We tried the risotto allo zafferano which was good and cotoletta alla milanese which was really dry compared to the other ones we had in Milan. Prices are high but that’s very common in Milan so I guess it is what it is. The ambience is very nice and romantic, but for the rest I just described I wouldn’t go again.

10/10We had a wonderful time at Antica Osteria in Milano. When you walk up to the restaurant and go inside, you have the sense it’s just a typical restaurant in Italy…but then you step outside into this magical outdoor space. What a wonderful place to dine in for our last night in Italy. Niam (I apologize if his name is spelled differently) from Egypt was a delightful, energetic and kind man that always made time to check on us. The magic created by the outdoor atmosphere was perfecto. The evening in October was mild for dining outside. We enjoyed pasta with clams and mussels, grilled octopus and a filet of sea bass. Yummy tiramisu, too. Delicious and a nice change from pasta with cheeses. Reserve in advance. You will love this place.

10/10Beautiful restaurant Looked really quiet when we entered. However We were taken out to the rear of the cafe which was magical. Beautiful ambience. Food, service, everything was fab. Definitely recommend. Make sure to reserve in advance.

9/10Second time visiting this restaurant. It’s a beautiful restaurant with good food and wine selection. Meals, both, fish and meat, were delicious. The service I’d prefer to be a bit better. The waiters do what it requires from them, but if you request something small, besides main meals, they tend to forget. No attention to details like filling up water in the glasses. Also the restaurant allows flowermen to sell roses inside the restaurant. In the middle of the meal and conversation he just puts flowers in front of the guest’s face, offering to buy it. Like on a street. To me it seems unacceptable. We definitely will be back for food , but hoping the service will be improved.
