Nothing spectacular but good food, the service was not the best

+1This was a real gem. We went here several time, not only for the wonder food, which it was absolutely wonderful, but for the amazing service from the great staff there. They were great! The food quality, value and service was enough to keep us coming back in a city with many many options!

Visited Rome during an unusual heat wave, and this place had the AC running so well it was almost too cold. Food was excellent. Service was okay.

3.5/10We were a party of six and said to the waiter that we might be seven… he said he can’t change the seating or table in a very cheeky way, he was very impatient with us during all the evening, we felt very uncomfortable. We waited a long time for the food, about 45 minutes and the food was not served in a nice or tempting way on the plate. We were very disappointed. I felt very bad because I had made the reservation for friends and I felt responsible.

We’re truly sorry to read that your evening with us did not meet your expectations — especially since you were hosting friends and had placed your trust in us. Regarding the seating issue: when a reservation is made for six and later adjusted last-minute, we always do our best to accommodate changes, but unfortunately this isn’t always possible during busy service hours. That said, the way it was communicated clearly left a negative impression, and for that, we sincerely apologize. We’re equally sorry if our service felt impatient or cold — this is far from the kind of experience we want our guests to have. Waiting 45 minutes for your meal is not acceptable, and we’re actively working on improving the timing and coordination between kitchen and dining room. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback — even when it’s difficult to read, it helps us grow. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future so we can provide the warmth and quality we’re truly capable of.

2/10We were offered water. We thought it was free, like in many other establishments. As a result, we paid 3 euros for the water. The carbonara was tasteless, the bacon was overcooked. I strongly advise against the place.

Regarding the water, we would like to clarify that, like in most restaurants in Italy, it is not complimentary. We always ask our guests if they would like still or sparkling water at the beginning of the meal, and the price is clearly listed on our menu. As for our carbonara, it’s one of our most appreciated dishes, prepared with great care using fresh eggs from free-range hens and traditional guanciale, made crispy on purpose to enhance the texture and flavor of the dish. We’re sorry it didn’t meet your expectations. Our goal is to offer an authentic Roman experience, and while we know taste is subjective, we always welcome constructive feedback — especially when given in person, where we have a chance to improve the guest’s experience on the spot.
