We had the fixed menu offered by TheFork - the main critique is that we were served too soon the main course an especially the soup - while we were still eating the appetizers with our drinks. Similarly - shortly after the soup was served the main course arrived. Bottom line - service was not attentive to the pace of our meal.

We started with a very pleasant experience with amazing appetizers and drinks. As the restaurant got busier, our server disappeared, we placed our order with a new person which was never ordered, and they put a very young family next to us with food being thrown and screaming that continued. We were not offered an option to move and not told that our order was not placed. This was not a language issue as we confirmed our order by pointing to the menu option. This is a higher priced restaurant and being ignored and forgotten was not only a surprise, but made us realize we had had enough. We asked for our check, paid over 75€ for our drinks and appetizers, and left. So unfortunate because what could have been a beautiful night turned bad, and not due to the food and decor!

The first gentleman who sat us was very polite but then our server immediately sounded passive aggressive when asking questions about the menu. Everytime she would attend us, she just kind of seemed annoyed and we noticed that the couple sitting next to us thought the same.

For reasons that I don't know everybody was being escorted to sit at the same table line in the restaurant, when it wasn't half full. The service was poor, we had to ask for soy sauce while all the other tables already had it. Since we couldn't have the attention of the waitress serving us I had to go to the counter to pay.

After traveling for a few weeks through Morocco and Portugal, we craved some Asian flavors. Sushi seemed like a refreshing alternative to the local fare. Arigato’s reviews seemed so positive, so our family of 4 decided to try it for dinner. Lovely setting outside on the patio by the waterfront, but their set tasting menu at 24€ unfortunately turned out to be quite disappointing. A lot of food was presented, but the sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi were all comprised of 2-3 basic fish (salmon, tuna, hamachi(?)) served in various shapes, sizes & textures with some pieces partially seared or drizzled with sauces to varying degrees of success. One nigiri even had a sweet mustard & dill sauce - distinctly reminiscent of a mustard sauce from IKEA - a terrible combination to be honest. While the sushi is visually appealing (set menu presented on a raised platter with dry ice), it’s taste was not what we expected; Coming from Vancouver, Canada, and having travelled to Japan, we’ve eaten a lot of sushi. Arigato is unfortunately a miss for us.

We really enjoyed this restaurant and its beautiful terrace. We had the fixed menu consisting of onigiri, miso soup, gyozas and sushi. All of the dishes were very tasty and nicely presented. The drinks were also good, we ordered some cold teas and the bonsai cocktail. Some points could be improved, for example: a (suggested) 5% tip was applied to the final bill which is not done and expected at all in Portugal and in our opinion such practice is wrong. It induces clients into thinking that the final price is the one with the tip because it is so much larger than the official total final price.

The food was good, but the waiter was awful. We waited until he gave us the menu for 15 minutes, then we waited to make an order for 5 minutes more. When I asked what is traditional combo and what is inside the rolls - he said: 'It's traditional' and that's all. No more details about fish type, ingredients, etc. When we finish eating and wanted to pay the bill we waited 10 more minutes and then we found another waiter and asked him to give us a check. I don't know whar is his problem, but I won't visit the place again just because the service is poor.

We very much enjoyed the ambience as well as the food. Service was a bit amateur -- when we arrived the waiter informed us that the kitchen would close in about one hour but forgot to give us the menu so that we might order.

Delicious food, very friendly staff, Nice music and overall atmosphere. I liked the combination of wood and green in the interior. If you like to eat sushi, definitely worth a look.
