9/10The food was great, the restaurant was immaculate. I was disappointed that the dress code wasn’t enforced. Several people were wearing running shoes, I could have done the same and packed less for the trip.

10/10First and foremost, both their service and food were impeccable and excellent. The view from the restaurant was unbelievably impressive. However when we got there, all of the window tables were occupied. Yet when one of the tables became open sometime later on, they offered us to move to the window table where we could see Colosseum right in front of us. That made us extremely happy! They also celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary by providing a beautiful dessert which made us even more happy! Thanks to them, we had a really memorable and wonderful time. Thank you very much!

2/10First of all food was really not tasty. Second: service was slow and very bad. Stuff of restaurant just trying to fool their customers and they care only about money. For example after dinner when we took our bill they put 2 glasses of champagne in our bill which we didn’t drink at all, and for 4 glasses of average moscato they put price 32 euros per each! This 4 glasses they didn’t write in bill like moscato or digestive, they wrote it in bill like aperitiv. And all information in bill was not clear, it was written only food and drinks: aperitif and bottle of water and bottle of wine… they didn’t write brand or name of any drink of course it’s best way to cheat their customers and charge them more. When I told to manager about wrong information in bill he just gave me arrogant look and told it’s just 60 euros wrong information, what is a problem and they didn’t want change our bill. We still waiting for solution for this situation. Also dress nobody cares about guest dress code

8.5/10The food was very good, the service was quite good but not excellent. Tables were too close together and waiters had to wait on each other to get out of the way, The sommelier was excellent and helped my wife navigate the stairs several times as she had some difficulty on the stairs with her knees health issues, he was very excellent indeed. Food was very good but at times felt rushed and at other times felt time stood still. We were there for lunch, generally enjoyed but not perfect.

10/10Everyhing was great. We havd great dinner in front of the Colossum .Table set on the balcony .Service is very good as Michelin star restaurant.Dishes of all were Taste , scent, 0UMAMI every elements good balanced . As a Japanese, I think one of the splendid reataurant in the world.

10/10We snagged Aroma reservations about a week before our visit. Reviews were mixed but with the location, the chef, and the sunset time-slot it was worth a try. We have had many mich-starred meals and had an idea of the service and creativity that Aroma would likely have. It was above and beyond. We were the first people sat for the evening. The table was right against the glass with a perfect view of the colosseum. We did the signature tasting with wine pairing plus two glasses of champagne to start. Pricey but it had four courses, paired wine for each course and 2 dessert courses. Everything was perfectly executed, courses perfectly timed, wine expertly paired and the service impeccable. Plan for about 2.5 hrs start to finish. As we finished the sun had set and the colosseum was fully lit for an awesome background. Take the 7pm res if interested in that! Chef takes typical roman fair and elevates it for a really fun and well though out evening. Staff was incredible. Deff go!

10/10We had a date night and brought our kids. It was an amazing night, even the kids loved it. The service at this restaurant was above and beyond anything I had ever experienced. I've been to very nice restaurants before, but this was my first Michelin. Definitely worth the investment of time and money to make this happen. Absolutely fantastic! Bring your sunglasses for sunset seating.

9/10This restaurant is all about the location. The service was excellent and the ambiance spectacular. Compared to other Michelin star restaurants the food was good but by no means exceptional. Worth going for the experience but the true foodies might be disappointed.

10/10Views were amazing and service was out of this world. More expensive than the last time I went and would say many other comparable restaurants in Rome that are cheaper. I will definitely return but given the prices would come less frequently. Great place for a special date or if you want to impress.

10/10The experience was outstanding with a wonderful menu. We had the meat tasting menu and it was delicious along with perfect wine pairing. The staff was professional but very welcoming. The view was beautiful and enjoyed the overall experience. Highly recommend!

10/10Aroma's team of servers took very good care of us. We timed dinner perfectly to watch the sunset over the Colosseum. The Colosseum at night is possibly even better than during the day. The food was top notch as we expected it to be, everything was absolutely delicious. Eating here was truly an experience of a lifetime from all aspects. A truly must do if you want a magical dinner.

3/10This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Their strict rules requiring all guests to order the same thing combined with food that was hardly edible left we wishing I had never booked this reservation. Please save yourself and your money and dine literally anywhere else. Heads up: only 4 tables have a nice view.

10/10Aroma was even better than expected! From the beauty of the waiting area to the spectacular view from the Terrace of the Colosseum. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and very efficient. And the food! There was not a bite left on ours plates after each course. So delicious, every bite and beautifully displayed/presented.

4.5/10Unfortunatelly, the food was probably the worst I have ever had in a Michellin starred restaurant and I jave been to at least 50 on 4 continenta. Nothing seemed to work. Risotto was totally bland, bread seemed to have come from local bakery and not a good one at that. The fish was cheewy and the desert was a mess. Service was all right. The only thing the place has goong for them is a view of the Collosseum but you can have that in the terrace bar downstairs. To be avoided.

5/10I was shown to the lift and told to go to the 3rd floor. When I got there, a young man opened the outer door for me. I thought he was going to show me to the restaurant but he got on the lift without a word. There are no signs to direct me. I found a long set of stairs. I use a cane and can only take one step at a time. I was feeling dizzy after climbing the stairs. Three staff members were at the top. I thought it was ridiculous that they asked if I had a reservation since someone in the lobby below checked. I was seated at a table with the best view of the Coliseum. They showed me one menu with water and sparkling wine. After a few minutes, someone came back and I ordered a bottle of water. He asked if I wanted wine. I said I don't drink alcohol. He didn't ask if I wanted something else to drink. No one did, and until the couple at the next to me ordered cocktails well into their meal, I figured they only had wine and water. Someone came with the menu. I would have ordered the fish tasting menu, but one item had whiskey in it. The meat menu looked fine. Someone brought two snacks that were outstanding. Then I got the amuse bouche, which was a squeeze of soft cheese in beet foam. I couldn't understand the description well enough because the server rushed through the ingredients. That was true with every course. Also true with every course was that the ingredients and presentation were excellent and the taste was variations on overcooked calf liver. Every one except for dessert. The service got slower and slower. The four breads were the only tasty items I had aside from dessert, and the little confections served last. I thought that I would be offered coffee with the confections. Instead, someone asked about 5 minutes after they took the empty dishes away. Then I waited and waited for the check. Finally, I got up because I needed the restroom. I went out to reception. I was told that the restroom was on the 3rd floor. I told her how long I had waited for the check. I was not going to climb back up to pay. She grabbed someone who got the bill right away. He showed me the charges and I paid. When he asked if I had a good experience, I told him that the service was poor and the dinner was disappointing. Because I still had to climb down the stairs and use the restroom, I wasn't interested in explaining. Maybe they will see this review. I am sensitive to being ignored or treated poorly compared to others. The wait staff engaged the people at other tables. No one said anything to me except to describe the courses. No effort to ask if I liked the view or anything. They made no effort to make me feel appreciated. In fact, by not asking if I wanted anything other than water, not offering me coffee at the appropriate time, leaving me to sit longer and longer between courses, and not bringing the bill, they made it clear that I didn’t deserve the level of service normally provided at starred restaurants. Today, my tour guide said that he visited Aroma in December. He thought that the food didn't taste good. It also has given me stomach problems. This is my first negative experience at a starred restaurant. I even saw that the paint on the base of the light on the table was flaking off, and there were crumbs or something in the bottom of the container holding the fake flower.

10/10The view along makes this a special place. But Aroma does not let the view be he only exceptional experience. The service was outstanding with each waiter complementing the other. We had a tastings menu primarily of seafood with the wine pairing. The food will remain a good memory of Rome. This is a wonderful way to spend an evening.

5.5/10Good location, service is ok, but the food quality is not for Michelin star, rather disappointing. Meat tasting menu, Too much foamy ingredients, not amusing…. The only perfect thing about here is the night view, but other restaurants nearby will do as well.
