4.5/10Unfortunatelly, the food was probably the worst I have ever had in a Michellin starred restaurant and I jave been to at least 50 on 4 continenta. Nothing seemed to work. Risotto was totally bland, bread seemed to have come from local bakery and not a good one at that. The fish was cheewy and the desert was a mess. Service was all right. The only thing the place has goong for them is a view of the Collosseum but you can have that in the terrace bar downstairs. To be avoided.

5/10I was shown to the lift and told to go to the 3rd floor. When I got there, a young man opened the outer door for me. I thought he was going to show me to the restaurant but he got on the lift without a word. There are no signs to direct me. I found a long set of stairs. I use a cane and can only take one step at a time. I was feeling dizzy after climbing the stairs. Three staff members were at the top. I thought it was ridiculous that they asked if I had a reservation since someone in the lobby below checked. I was seated at a table with the best view of the Coliseum. They showed me one menu with water and sparkling wine. After a few minutes, someone came back and I ordered a bottle of water. He asked if I wanted wine. I said I don't drink alcohol. He didn't ask if I wanted something else to drink. No one did, and until the couple at the next to me ordered cocktails well into their meal, I figured they only had wine and water. Someone came with the menu. I would have ordered the fish tasting menu, but one item had whiskey in it. The meat menu looked fine. Someone brought two snacks that were outstanding. Then I got the amuse bouche, which was a squeeze of soft cheese in beet foam. I couldn't understand the description well enough because the server rushed through the ingredients. That was true with every course. Also true with every course was that the ingredients and presentation were excellent and the taste was variations on overcooked calf liver. Every one except for dessert. The service got slower and slower. The four breads were the only tasty items I had aside from dessert, and the little confections served last. I thought that I would be offered coffee with the confections. Instead, someone asked about 5 minutes after they took the empty dishes away. Then I waited and waited for the check. Finally, I got up because I needed the restroom. I went out to reception. I was told that the restroom was on the 3rd floor. I told her how long I had waited for the check. I was not going to climb back up to pay. She grabbed someone who got the bill right away. He showed me the charges and I paid. When he asked if I had a good experience, I told him that the service was poor and the dinner was disappointing. Because I still had to climb down the stairs and use the restroom, I wasn't interested in explaining. Maybe they will see this review. I am sensitive to being ignored or treated poorly compared to others. The wait staff engaged the people at other tables. No one said anything to me except to describe the courses. No effort to ask if I liked the view or anything. They made no effort to make me feel appreciated. In fact, by not asking if I wanted anything other than water, not offering me coffee at the appropriate time, leaving me to sit longer and longer between courses, and not bringing the bill, they made it clear that I didn’t deserve the level of service normally provided at starred restaurants. Today, my tour guide said that he visited Aroma in December. He thought that the food didn't taste good. It also has given me stomach problems. This is my first negative experience at a starred restaurant. I even saw that the paint on the base of the light on the table was flaking off, and there were crumbs or something in the bottom of the container holding the fake flower.

10/10The view along makes this a special place. But Aroma does not let the view be he only exceptional experience. The service was outstanding with each waiter complementing the other. We had a tastings menu primarily of seafood with the wine pairing. The food will remain a good memory of Rome. This is a wonderful way to spend an evening.

5.5/10Good location, service is ok, but the food quality is not for Michelin star, rather disappointing. Meat tasting menu, Too much foamy ingredients, not amusing…. The only perfect thing about here is the night view, but other restaurants nearby will do as well.

4.5/10DOESN’T DESERVE IT. The only good thing is the view. Actually the food is way below the average level of Michelin 1 star I had. But the biggest problem is the service. The server told me there is a dress code which he insisted communicated in the email but didn’t. I was wearing a black t-shirt which is not disgraceful. I showed him all the emails from the restaurant to ensure it and I am right. But he didn’t apologise. I asked about the difference between 2 aperitifs and he just told me the second one is rosé which is written. I pointed out I was looking for the description of the taste but he explained: “It’s just the aperitif.” This lack of knowledge of beverage is so unprofessional that ruins my experience.

10/10Irretouchable! Delicious food, excellent service and good atmosphere with a beautiful view. It works with 3 tasting menu options. Take your time to enjoy the experience in peace. I indicate!

5/10Hosts are terrible. We had a reservation and we were on time but waited for our table more than 30 minutes almost left. The food was okay below average. The waiters were amazing they lifted the whole experience.

10/10When being served amazing food while looking out at the Colosseum, one can have absolutely no complaints about Aroma. Federico, our waiter took great care of us and was even flexible with the menu allowing us to substitute our dessert. Every dish tasted amazing with my personal favorites being the Guinea Fowl Pasta, the Monkfish with Sea Urchin Sauce and the Chocolate Soufflé. A true one of a kind experience that will be hard to match

6/10The view of the Colosseum was fantastic from the restaurant. Service was fairly on point and attentive. The beef carpaccio was high quality and the sea urchins was a nice medley on top. Some of the sauces on the dishes were hit and miss. Meaning some had complementing flavor and some needed more to them with salt or spices. Unfortunately one of my mains, the pork belly, came out over fired by the kitchen and the piece was also incredibly dry. To the point I could eat only about half of it. I was surprised that the server didn’t ask, as there was a lot left, and I’m wondering if the kitchen noticed. Overall, it was just OK. I wouldn’t pay $240 Euro for the meal. Personally, I would not recommend it or go back as too many dishes that came out needed improvement for the expectation of a Michelin restaurant.

9/10Location is beautiful, service is amazing, food impeccable. The only reason I dont give a perfect score is because it was over 100 degrees and considering they have a Michelin I would expect a solution to the heat, ex automatic fans or mist. We couldnt really have a 10/10 experience because it was so hot I wanted to skip dessert just to be out of the Sun.

10/10Such a beautiful location! The staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay. We came 15min late due to traffic, and they still let us eat without having to rush. Even if they let us have our reservation, it doesnt mean you should assume it will be fine another time. ( we were probably lucky as it was lunch time). Everyone gets a table on the balcony, and they all had amazing views. I really reccommend everyone to have the panacotta/raspberry dessert, was amazing!

9/10Excellent food. Had the veggie tasting menu with wine pairing. Cannot fault it. Can easily appreciate the Michelin star. Waiters all speak English. Every table had an amazing view but if you want a window seat book for 7 pm. It was slightly raining when we visited but it didn’t detract from the view and overall experience. Book early!

10/10This restaurant deserves more than the one Michelin star is has.To say it is spectacular is an understatement.The greeting,service,wine list,and food choices are other worldly.To say nothing of the view which is priceless.Preparation,presentation and taste worth coming back to Rome from Miami. Would do it in a heartbeat.

10/10This restaurant was not overhyped! The food, service, and view were impeccable. We had the 1st tasting menu with wine pairing and it was fabulous. From start got finish the meal and accompanied wines were a wonderful culinary journey. I will come back and recommend to friends.

10/10Best restaurant we have ever been to. The food was outstanding and the view was incredible. It’s a bucket list restaurant but would not recommend if you are on a budget. Not a restaurant you want to do cheaply to fully appreciate and enjoy it.

10/10I think many go there just for the view, I was one of them but the food, service and atmosphere didn't disappoint me. This was my first Michellin experience and they made sure I enjoyed it. The server very kind and I witnessed them assist taking pictures of guests, not being stuck up at all. Accidentally didn't leave a tip because I didn't know how it worked, I thought I was gonna be able to add it myself on the card machine..
