Everything about this restaurant was 5 star. When you arrive you are greeted in the hotel lobby and seated while they prepare your table. Once ready, you take a small elevator to the top floor where you are greeted, by name, and escorted to your table. The view of the Colosseum is simply stunning, especially at night. And then the service begins. You are served by a team of waiters, waitresses, and sommeliers who are second to none. Friendly, knowledgeable, and simply fantastic. And then there is the food. Simply the best I have ever had. Each course is presented expertly and with such flavor and attention to detail. In short, the is the best restaurant I have ever dined at and there should be a new 6 star category for them. This is a must when visiting Rome or if you are Italian and for a special occasion.

10/10We had the most lovely time at Aroma for our first night in Rome! Fred, the Sommelier, picked the absolute best wines I had ever had for the pairing. You must let do the wine pairing with the meal!!!

We had a special surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday. It would be good to put Tanti auguri in Italian so you can show you were in Rome.

From a service perspective, my wine was picked up before I finished it, and we had to fill our own glasses with water a couple of times - some opportunity for improvement in the service area. Ambience was beautiful - watching the sun set with an unobstructed view of the coliseum was fantastic. I would recommend requesting a table in the center vs the ends, because, once they open the windows to the restaurant, the view from the tables on ends is blocked by the windows (they will open for slivers of unobstructed views, though).

They have the Michelin star restaurant formula done to near perfection but.. one of us ordered carbonara and got amatriciana, which they corrected immediately (and adjusted our bill). They really need an a la carte menu, especially at lunch time. A multi course meal in mid day is too much!

We had a very good lunch at Aroma, really enjoyable. We've got a corner spot on the terrasse and the weather was delight full. There was a mixup with the water, put our waiters made a quick fix an all in all we were very pleased with the water, wine pairing and service. Signatur dish with the logo of the colosseum a raspberry dessert. Beautiful made but a little to doll in flavor. luckily our glas served with that compensated for it.

6.5/10Disappointing given the cost and Michelin star. Service made mistakes, was passive aggressive about not finishing meals, and some of the meals were just not good.
