10/10We ate at several restaurants during our visit to Amsterdam. This was the best for quality of food (delicious) and service (very attentive). The resturant itself is not as large or aas fancy as others but it was quite comfortable and inviting and attractive in the table settings. The cost was about half of the other restaurants we visited. We have enjoyed this cuisine in many countries including many cities in India and Nepal. I would rate it among the best we have had.for flavor and freshness of ingredients. Thank you Ashoka friends!

10/10This genuine restaurant which is easy to miss from the outside should however not be missed! We were welcomed in a very kind way, the service did patiently answer all our questions and advised on which spice to choose on a scale from 1-5. The food was delicious ( especially to mention the veg choice of Nepalese type of "thali" with 3 different dishes included), real tasty and balanced. And great value for money. We have saved it in our favorites and will return next time we visit Ansterdam.

7/10Really enjoyed the quality of the food in this restaurant. However, the service was disgraceful. They were clearly too busy prioritising online delivery orders (uber, deliveroo, etc.). In the 90 minutes we waited for our started they must have processed close to 30 online orders. Some other diners got fed up and left part way through their meal. We did the same after having starters as we couldn't afford to wait another 90 minutes for our mains to arrive. Food quality is good but they really need to ask themselves if they would rather just exist as a take away option - instead of trying to balance both take away and dine-in!

10/10Excellent dinner. Just be sure you reserve the right location. The food was savory and spicy and unique. Drinks were on point. Loved the margarita with tumeric.

10/10Lovely restaurant with excellent service a a great food and drink selection. Hits the spot when you are looking for Indian and Nepalese food. We got the mixed vegetarian appetizers (chef’s choice), mismas momos, and mixed tandoori. Everything was excellent!

8.5/10The food/drinks and service were superb again, so we will definitely coming back! The only negative worth mentioning is that we can imagine that on cold/rainy days the in and outgoing delivery guys might make a spot near the door somewhat less desirable.

9.5/10The food was delicious. The butter naan was perfect. A thick lassi to start with Papadam was amazing. The Paneer Jalfarzi and vegetable Biryani were made fresh, you can taste the difference. We asked me for 4/5 spicy food and it was too much for us but the taste profile didn't change much.

10/10Our experience at Ashoka was excellent, the food was nicely spicy and in the proper Indian style as well. The additional complimentary food was a great touch and the service was very good and helpful. Additionally the restaurant is very clean and the ambience is very cozy and pleasant, excellent overall.

8.5/10We had a lovely time! Although the advice on the hotness of the dish could have been better. We are spice lovers, but apparently masala is already spicy and we were not aware of this. Other than that, lovely service, and delicious food. We would definitely come back!
