Some of the best Indian food we’ve had. We come here often and love the quality of the food. Great variety. Prawn biryani, lamb tikka masala, tarka Dahl so many delicious things.

The food was excellent. Wanting to try the local deli cases Kibeling for starter Meatball and Mashed Potatoes for main The staff were unable to find my booking. But offered me a table anyway.

As we are new to Amsterdam, we arrived at the wrong Ashoka Restaurant not knowing there were two locations. The owner was kind enough to seat us immediately in his busy restaurant. Food and service was excellent. Prices were very reasonable. We will recommend this restaurant to friends.

Really good looking restaurant with a scenic ambiance with matching easy going music. Really felt relaxed when I sat down. The only thing that could be improved is the amount of oil in the dishes and the speed in between appetizer and Main Course (less than 5 minutes) could be a bit longer 🙂

We ate at several restaurants during our visit to Amsterdam. This was the best for quality of food (delicious) and service (very attentive). The resturant itself is not as large or aas fancy as others but it was quite comfortable and inviting and attractive in the table settings. The cost was about half of the other restaurants we visited. We have enjoyed this cuisine in many countries including many cities in India and Nepal. I would rate it among the best we have had.for flavor and freshness of ingredients. Thank you Ashoka friends!

This genuine restaurant which is easy to miss from the outside should however not be missed! We were welcomed in a very kind way, the service did patiently answer all our questions and advised on which spice to choose on a scale from 1-5. The food was delicious ( especially to mention the veg choice of Nepalese type of "thali" with 3 different dishes included), real tasty and balanced. And great value for money. We have saved it in our favorites and will return next time we visit Ansterdam.

Smaller, downscaled version of its sister restaurant in Spuisstraat but don't be fooled. The food is just as excellent and the service so friendly and good. Good food for good value. The momos were heavenly

Really enjoyed the quality of the food in this restaurant. However, the service was disgraceful. They were clearly too busy prioritising online delivery orders (uber, deliveroo, etc.). In the 90 minutes we waited for our started they must have processed close to 30 online orders. Some other diners got fed up and left part way through their meal. We did the same after having starters as we couldn't afford to wait another 90 minutes for our mains to arrive. Food quality is good but they really need to ask themselves if they would rather just exist as a take away option - instead of trying to balance both take away and dine-in!
