9/10We had dinner at Atalho do Cais and it turned out to be one of our best meals in Lisbon. The food was outstanding. We started with a superb Wagyu beef carpaccio, delicate, flavourful, beautifully presented. For mains, we ordered Iberian black pork fillet, Picanha and Rib-eye, with potato wedges and portobello mushrooms as sides. The star of the night was the Iberian black pork fillet: tender, juicy although sliced before cooking, yet full of flavour and perfectly prepared. The Picanha followed closely. The Rib-eye was very good, though medium cooking would have helped render some thicker fat pieces. We loved the flavours, generous portions and precise cooking. Dessert was a homemade Exotic cheesecake: fresh, crunchy base, light cream and tropical fruit coulis, the perfect ending. Service was warm and attentive. The space is small, modern and cozy, though furniture quality and cleanliness (sofa full of stains) could be improved. A top choice for meat lovers in Lisbon.

5.5/10Although, I told in advance that we were celebrating Thomas birthday, our service was poor, and the table wasn’t at the a nice spot. They brought the dessert without the candle, and told me that they didn’t have any candle. Another waiter found a tea light candle, and put on the plate. Of course, I wasn’t happy and it wasn’t the best experience for a birthday dinner. There are tons of restaurants in Lisbon, and we don’t have to go back there.

4/10The food was good, but the whole experience mad it bad. A table on the middle of the way, waitresses passing and kicking your chair the whole night as like the other clients, the menu was pretty empty, had to discover what wasn’t missing to order the drinks. Staff really not well prepared for customer service.

6/10as much as I love atalhoo do cais, food amazing, waiters amazing. it's impossible to get a hold of the restaurant when I'm calling to change a reservation, impossible and it's absolutely frustrating when even though I have made a mistake, I try to fix it but they never pick up.

2/10I booked through The Fork with a 30% discount. Upon arrival, we were poorly received: the manager insisted that the discount was not valid because I hadn’t received an email, then suddenly brought a laptop to our table to “prove” that we didn’t have the discount, even though we hadn’t questioned it. The experience was quite unpleasant and uncomfortable. Moreover, the quality of the food was far below expectations — we spent around €140, but it wasn’t worth even a third of that. I would not recommend this place, both for the service and the value for money.
