The cooking was very well executed and we were pleased to have the last 2 bowls of onion soup. The plat du jour was very tasty. Will definitely come back in the future.

The food is just amazing. Not touristy. True French comfort food. Brought our 3 children while on vacation from New York and cannot wait to come back!

My wife and I dined on a quiet Sunday evening and enjoyed great service and food. My wife’s Dover sole was nicely presented and then boned for ease of eating. She said it was truly outstanding. My codfish was perfectly cooked and had a great fresh taste. We managed to have enough room to share a La Tarte Tatin and we are so happy we did. It had a great baked apple taste and was a great way to end our meal. We would recommend dining here if you enjoy really well prepared and presented food

Tremendous ambiance, starting with the open, warm, and comforting welcome. The Châteaubriand de boeuf with green pepper sauce, the potatoes gratin and the Sol Meunière were especially noteworthy. Bon appetit indeed.

You are made to feel very welcomed at this small restaurant. Our dinners were excellent, blanquette de veau and cabillaud. Desserts were divine! A very large group needed to be seated and the hosts handled this smoothly & graciously. We will definitely be returning.

I was celebrating my birthday in Paris with my niece and daughter. This lovely little hidden jewel was recommended to us , and I couldn’t have been more pleased to spend my last night in Paris having the most delicious meal . From the moment we entered, we felt welcome and catered to. The wine was excellent and the meal was divine. We had Chateaubrian and Dover Sole. Delicious! My evening was perfect.

Beautiful meal in Paris!

Excellent Dinner. Best in our first week here and we dine out every night. The Owner, Arlette Iga, is very personable, and we saw this with many of the guests. A small restaurant of about 30-36 chairs on a small street in the 7th. Try it. Sure it will be Memorable.

Lovely place with a nice vines selection and food

The quality and content of the food do not justify the high price.

Outstanding restaurant with attentive and warm service provided by the owners. Menu selection was broad and food quality was excellent. One of our favorite Parisian family-owned restaurants and the owners are to be commended for maintaining such high quality

Our dinner at Au Petit Tonneau was our best meal from our two weeks in France. Quiet and simple surroundings, white tablecloths and flowers were the perfect backdrop for phenomenal meal and service.

Owner came to our table and walked through all the wonderful entrees. Our family of 5 each ordered something different and it was outstanding!!

Lovely place with great food! We‘ve been twice now and the owner is just the nicest man.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I felt like this was a family restaurant and we were included. My husband was thrilled by the shortbreads and his classical veal stew. My rack of lamb was fabulous and if I was at home I would have picked up the ribs and eaten them with my hands. Then came desert which was so satisfying. Our plans are to go back for dinner there next year. Lovely place!

Incredibly delicious traditional French meal. Excellent service!

The Dover Sole, Veal Blanquette and Tart Tatin were excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming and homey. A great spot.

The service was generally attentive. The price of the food for what you received was too high. Everything tasted a day old. The chateaubriand was tuff, the lamb was very chewy. The salad was excellent! The chocolate mouse also tasted old. The white Bordeaux was great also. I can not recommend your restaurant to friends .

We had a delicious dinner with warm and wonderful service. It is 100 years old …a Paris treasure! Great location, tucked away in the heart of the 7th. We look forward to returning.

Au Petit Tonneau is our favorite restaurant in Paris. The owner, Arlette Iga, is a gifted proponent of traditional French cooking. The restaurant is family friendly: we’ve brought all our children and grandchildren. We come back every year.

This is second visit in 4 years but we first found out about this wonderful neighborhood restaurant 15 years ago from a family member. Friendly service, fine ambiance that allows diners to speak as a family would, without the noise drowning out our conversation or that horribly echo from high ceilings and harsh furnishings. No loud background music. Food is classic French with a twist here and there. We both had fish on this night and cooked to perfection. So many very good chefs cannot cook fish properly day in and day out but at Petite Tonneau it is always perfect. Fine desserts and finish with a perfectly balanced Irish coffee of all things. Book well in advance and enjoy a family restaurant. We will come back every time in Paris when we need Classic French fare.

A very welcoming atmosphere, a restaurant run by owners and staff who really care about your experience. The restaurant is small but cosy with a great menu of classic French recipes. Meal was perfectly prepared and served promptly. A small but adequate wine list to compliment your meal. Well worth a try ic you are in the area.
