Our waiter Nasser, he was amazing! What a wonderful person! He told me how to say "Il fait chaud". lol. And the food, OMG! If you are an oyster lover like me, you are in the right place!!!

9/10It seems they have changed their recipe for their onion soup. It had very little onions to almost no onions in it and the bread seemed to be rye or some seeded bread other than regular white bread which gave it a bad taste. It was extremely disappointing was this one of our favorite places to get onion soup in Paris regularly. We won’t be back. This place always was rated one of the best for onion soup in Paris.

Au Rocher de Cancale is that neighborhood restaurant that you go to for comfort food. Whether it's for perfect huitres and crevettes roses or onion soup or the most amazing smoked chicken with pasta and cepes sauce. The place is nearly always packed, and yet the service is solid at the craziest times. Plus, great cocktails and solid advice on wine to pair with your dish.

10/10Our waiter was remarkable. My wife and I have been 3-4 times when we visit Paris. Despite it being in a very touristy area, it still feels real. Our waiter (who we have had before) is fun, attentive without being "too present"... put up with our French and made our guests feel great. We were a group of 8 and everyone loved their meals, the ambiance and entire experience. A bientot. We will be back!

10/10My Friends and I had an amazing time “Au Rocher de Cancale”. The staff was amazing: organising the most convenient table, letting us the time to order available for all our requests. The building is really pretty, location is very convenient, I highly recommend the place.

10/10We had our first meal in Paris at Au Rocher de Cancale and it was a wonderful start to our trip! The oysters were so fresh and plump. My husband loved the onion soup. We ordered sea bream, scallops and beef fillet for main and everything was delicious! All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

9/10After 50 years I found the then decayed building now its a friendly traditional Parisian restaurant- magic. I drew the building then and enjoyed great prawns and then honeyed duck last week

5.5/10We came for the onion soup. We had heard about how wonderful it was with amazing depth and flavor with all the melted cheese... Ours had barely had cheese at all and was too spicy hot. Real disappointment

7.5/10This restaurant is a lively brasserie. The atmosphere is worth experiencing. The waitstaff is kind and efficient. They obviously work hard and really keep moving. That said, I ordered magret de canard cooked "à point" (medium) and it was practically charred. This made the meat very tough. The accompanying potatoes were almost as crisy as potato chips. One of my friend's veal was also very overcooked and tough. I was disappointed.

6.5/10A bit disappointed by this place I knew for few years ago. Portions were gigantic but not necessary good. i really wish they were much smaller. I was disappointed by the Roquefort sauce that tasted like béarnaise, side, tiramisu that didn’t t have any chocolate or coffee. We were inside but windows were wide opened and I was cold. Not my best experience.
