4.5/10The menu looked mouthwatering but the food itself didn’t deliver. Croquettes were dry, crab waffle was more of a Bellini with brown crab meat only and chunks of cold tomato cores. Why? The anchovy was more of a fishy sardine, I would stick to good quality Ortiz in future. Philipe, our waiter was fantastic though and recommended a good wine which was the highlight of our non-meal. Ambience is usually good but we had screaming kids on next door table. For an 8.30pm booking that was unfortunate. I would like to return as the restaurant has so much potential but I think the chef needs to pay more attention to the quality of his ingredients.

9.5/10Great place, city center, liked the food a lot! Welcomed with 2 glasses of Spumante, due to 4th anniversary, we had a lovely taste of several dishes we shared, good presentation and well prepared. Recommended!

10/10Friends recommend Aurora to us and we will defiantly go back, Food, wine and service 10 out of 10. We both ordered off the à la carte menu, but there is an option to have a four or six course taste menu which can be prepared with wines. A gem of a resturant in the beautiful town of Loulé.

10/10Second time we had dinner at Aurora. A real hidden gem in the Loulé city Centre and just 15 minutes away from the Vale Do Lobo/Quinta Do Lago orbit. In addition to outstanding food featuring local ingredients and original presentations, the service from Felipe and Miriam (as well as Pedro last summer) is attentive without overbearing. Great ambiance of a country kitchen. And if you have an opportunity, have a delightful conversation with Antonio Veloso, the owner and Chef. Well worth the little detour. Will definitely go back.

8.5/10Nice evening , had been to restaurant previously . Excellent waiter . Starters were excellent and different to what we had expected which is always good . Fresh crab on a menu is not common in Portugal now . Main courses also very good except for the Duck , lots of sinus in the portion so only 50% eaten . Duck had surely been frozen as the skin was rubbery and inedible , not clarified and crisp as duck should be . This was a disappointment . Other meals were very good . No desert's ordered . Wine choice good but a little on the expensive side . It's Portugal , so no excuse for not having slightly less expensive wine on the menu . All in all will visit again .

10/10A friendly welcome, great explanation of the tasting wine and advice on a complementary local wine. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. My favourite was pork bonbons on a peppercorn base. My husband loved the meringue. Totally would recommend anyone to come here for a lovely evening oh and the prices are very good for the quality!

10/10We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Aurora. The food was absolutely delicious and our waiter, Phillip, was both friendly and helpful. When he described a dish, you knew you wanted to try it! When he asked what wines we prefer, he chose one for us that was spot on!
