I booked thru "The Fork" for the 30% off and it was honoured without even mentionning it to the waiter. The service was casual and relaxed. Atmosphere was what we hoped and expected. The food was amazing. I had the pork belly. WoW and WoW again. My wife had the Fish and Seafood Cataplana and she raved about it. We would definitely return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

This was my 1st visit. I chose it because The Fork listing showed an appealing prix fixe lunch for 18.50 Euros, including main course, dessert and couvert. At the time they were offering a decent Fork discount that did not apply to prix fixe (only a la carte) but that was ok. However when we got there, there was no prix fixe option (and indeed I looked on their web site when I got home and couldn't find it there.) So the Fork listing must be out of date. Instead they just offered 3 single-course specials of the day, obviously one course is a la carte, at somewhat lower prices than other mains but nearly as much as the prix fixe. They did not apply the discount to these specials, which we both ordered. The Fork discount was however applied to our desserts. Not to harp on price but you should know. My food was ok, a bit salty for my taste; friend liked hers a lot. Would have preferred no music playing, or quieter. Quite hard to hear/understand specials Decor pleasant.

Everything was colourful and delicious. A very authentic and enjoyable moment in a traditional town in the Algarve. I will return. :)

Aurora is a restaurant which breaks the Portuguese food ‘mold’ of many restaurants cooking very similar dishes. There is a lot of creativity in what he does. For Sunday lunch I had sea bass chowder with a side of polenta flavoured with what tasted like clam sauce. In the past we had clam pastries, lamb with curry rice. Also available are four and six course tasting menus and wine pairings. Upscale wine list, great service and a room where tables are not crowded.

Our 4th visit. A lovely evening. Food very good as usual. Attentive staff - causal but very attentive. Good knowledge of food and wine on the evening. Again, a lovely evening.

What was amazing was the chestnut mousse dessert with a pairing of Madeira wine! Everything was delicious and our waiters were professional and very helpful.
