Can’t say enough about this hidden gem! The food was absolutely out of this world, everything from the French onion soup, cassoulet, roasted chicken, and beef. Bourguignon were top notch. Every dish was outstanding. John, our waiter and his wife do such an amazing job of creating a homey, cozy, yet still classy and refined dining experience. And John is an absolute riot! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone without fail! You must try this restaurant!

The place was cold, I had to keep my coat. And the service just terrible, from the beginning. Attitude from the moment we enter. What I shame I was very excited to eat there and the place is lively except for the fact that was cold

The food was delicious!! Cassoulet was superb and Beef Bourgogne good but not as pipping hot. The upstairs was a little cold when we sat down. But the heat eventually kicked in. Overall, still loved it and very good food!

The food was delicious; the house cassoulet mouthwateringly good. We could only stay for one course but would happily return. Lovely to be in the shadow of Notre Dame. Lower mark for service but I think this was due to there only being one lady seemingly managing all the covers.

This is an unusual restaurant which has a medieval ambiance. It is very cozy in the intimate space. The woman who greets and seats is also the server. She’ll playfully encourage you to finish your dinner if you say you’re done but there is still food on your plate. The cow sure vin was flavorful but the sauce was a bit thin which is why it didn’t get a 10. The salad had a delicately flavored vinagrette. We were worried about getting to a concert on time but the service was good even though it was a one woman show.

The owner Lillian is a gem. She and her small crew/family cook amazing feel good meals that warm the belly and soul! She is funny and will make your experience on the Île Saint-Louis a memorable one. Merci Lillian for also making my mother’s time one she’ll never forget!

We went two years ago for my husband‘s birthday and the waiter seemed to be really nice then and the food was very good. This time when we went, the server was the woman who had been cooking the time before. Maybe she should stick to that she’s not good with people. We understand that there’s sometimes a language barrier in different countries so we don’t let that guide us but she was just rude and of course I asked for a crafe d’eaux and she gave me Evian charged me for it seven euro but magically every other table around us who had people speaking in French got theirs. So I got scammed like every other American she must scam. We won’t be back and that’s too bad because we had such great memories the first time.

It is a small, charming restaurant with the most fabulous .food. I had cassoulet Maison which was delicious along with the escargot. The Apple tart with vanilla ice cream - awesome! Highly recommend!

I was at the restaurant 32 years ago and had the best memories . I even went several times then . This time it was not the same . Lack of flavor , salt and overcooked vegetables . I was really ilutioned of coming back , but very disappointed .

Staff made us feel comfortable (even as non-French people) immediately coming into the restaurant, food and service were excellent and the murals in the restaurant were cool to see. Definitely will recommend to any friends coming to Paris and will be back the next time we're back in the country

We were here 6 years ago and the same couple runs the place. He is the maitre di and she cooks. The food is outstanding! As it was 6 years ago. Reservations definitely suggested as the main dining room only holds 24 seats.
