7.5/10We had a decent meal at Baja. Service was a bit slow and thought it was odd that dinner service didn't begin until 7:30 pm. Food was great except for the Tuna tartare which was highly disappointing compared to the other places we had it at on our trip to Italy,

7/10The food was immaculate but I wish I could say the same about the service! I requested a table with a river view as it was our wedding anniversary, but instead they sat us by the back of the restaurant by plants that had a lot of bugs that got into our water, wine and food, as well a view that was facing the owners boat house and storage. They also said we couldn’t move tables as they were fully booked, but we ate and left before tables turned up, so we could have had the seats requested. Unfortunately, my wife and I cannot speak Italian or read Italian, so we needed help with the menu. When we explained this to the waiter, he seemed bothered to have to help us translate and rushed through the menu with me and my wife didn’t even hear him or understand. Food is a 9, the rest is a 3. Hope you have a better visit if you decide to go 👍🏼

10/10We had such an amazing experience at Baja. We always love eating dockside and Baja did not disappoint. We relied on the amazing wait staff for food and wine recommendations. We even tried the squid which was spectacular!! They treated us like family and we will definitely return!!

7.5/10It is a great stop off on the way to Stadio Olympico if you are looking for a decent lunch and not the standard pre match pizza slice lunch. It is pleasant sitting in the sun by the river and away from the crowds around the train stations. It is clearly a popular weekend spot with the locals for lunch out.

10/10Our servers suggested an amazing wine. The atmosphere was great. The food was even better. The sound vide was an experience and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The cocktails were also good. Grazie Mille!

9.5/10What a unique and delicious experience! We had a delightful dinner in this river’s edge, floating restaurant. The food was wonderful and the ambience was lovely and romantic. I’ll note that I’m not a big fan of dogs in dining areas, but this seems to be ok with the restaurant owners. Overall, an excellent experience.

8.5/10Amazing location amazing vibe and ambiance. Food was really excellent. Service was fairly weak. Our server was not attentive at all. The other staff were very friendly and nice. All together still an awesome dinner… just wish our server checked in during the meal.

10/10We enjoyed a wonderful evening sitting by the river. The waitstaff is exceptional, very attentive and most helpful in making suggestions. The fresh fish was great and the cheesecake and tiramisu delightful! The bar area has a fun vibe so you can sit there or in the open air. The mallard ducks and otter swimming by was just a little extra special. Definitely recommend this place.

7/10I have only one big complaint about the place. Even though I made the reservation some time ago, they gave the worse table to us. When we arrived there were no people and I asked them to give us a better table. They told us that all the tables are reserved. We spent such a long time there and at least half of the tables were never occupied until we left. We went there for the river view and ambience and we ended up with a road view even though a lot of tables were empty during the time we spent there which was such a big disappointment. Food and the place were Ok. Also, they didn’t have an English menu. So I accidentally ordered wrong food -waiters allowed me to change it which was really nice and kind.

6.5/10The boat looks great on the water and they honored our request for a seat by the window. The food exceeded expectations, but the dining area was a little rowdy due to a few large groups that were near us. It also was difficult to get a waiter’s attention.

8.5/10There are two reasons to go to Baja: the first is the location, a floating restaurant on the Tiber River and the second is the food. The restaurant is elegant and the view on the Tiber is lovely. The food is very good, matching location. The dishes are creative, beyond classic Roman cuisine. For a tourist new to Rome, one challenge is finding the restaurant. The restaurant is below the river embankment. Our cab delivered us to a location that turned out to be a few minutes walk to the road crossing and stairs down to the river. Another challenge is that the this is not a tourist restaurant (although everyone was very nice and helpful). The menu is only in Italian. Google maps helped us find the stairs to the river and Google translate helped with the menu.

7.5/10Lobster pasta had very little lobster meat and I had to ask for lobster implements to crack the claw, staff did not supply straight etc. This took away from the experience.

7/10Restaurant was nicely situated and staff very attentive. It was cold on the river and the restaurant was cold, be mindful if you go in the winter wear something warm. Overall nice night.

8.5/10We liked the most the location (clise to piazza poppolo) view and the design of the restaurant, in the river, one Can escape from the Noise of the city and relax. The food and service were very good. Try the nocciola for dessert, was really good. All in all a nice and diferent experience

4/10Do not waste your time in this poorly managed location. First, the person in charge refused to let us seat by the river side because it was reserved and insisted that we had to "trust her" when we asked why our booking was not enough. Rude behavior from someone who speaks with customers (ironically, the table we had unsuccessfully requested was empty for our full dinner). The food was OK at best, but there was no burrata tonight and the fish and meat come from Denmark (do not expect local food). The location is not easy to reach, and if you don’t seat by the riverside you will see moss and detritus during your meal which is not ideal. Finally when we asked an invoice for the dinner, we were refused this simple request because you have to inform the waiter before making the payment to receive it. Not only is it illegal, it’s also pretty unprofessional to assume we won’t need it. Rome has so many amazing restaurants: do not waste your time in this poorly managed location.

10/10My husband had an awesome dinner here tonight! Our waiter and the entire team were very kind and accommodating! They even ordered us a taxi when it was time to leave and took several photos for us while we waited. The food was delicious from the bread to dessert!

9.5/10Superb and unique location, excellent food, maybe a bit crowded Saturday at lunch. If you like to dine one the Tiber, this is the best place in Rome. The menu is quite short but for many this is a plus.

10/10It's a hidden gem. Would definitely recommend. The decor, atmosphere staff and food are superb. Menu slightly limited however very original and the flavours were excellent. The staff even booked us a taxi for after dinner. We were there 8n the evening which made it feel romantic and I imagine the surrounding in the morning would look beautiful too. The food is very well priced too. Very pleasantly surprised.

8/10The food was delicious however, we arrived early so we could enjoy a drink beforehand and after waiting 25 mins for two glasses of wine to arrive we moved through to our booked table for dinner. We asked for them to be delivered to our table instead and the hostess said that they would then be on the house. When the bill arrived (after waiting over 15mins for that) we saw that we had been charged for the glasses of wine twice! The wait staff were helpful and polite however they were too busy and they needed more of them. The food when it came was beautifully presented and tasted delicious but the wait times for service would mean that I wouldn't recommend coming here if this was likely to upset you. The setting is really nice with ducks and otters in the water and it is a shame that a few more waiters would have taken this experience from one that I don't recommend to one that I would have.

7.5/10Took my wife for our anniversary, we loved the food it was really nice couldn’t fault it but the staff weren’t the best, served locals first and was left waiting apart from that can’t fault it nice little gem
