It was very quiet when we arrived at 1200 but gradually filled up. The owner and his wife were fabulous and gave us great advice and attention. 90% of the food was first rate although the chicken salad was a little boring. The price was reasonable and the wine excellent! Highly recommended…

Found a deal on The Fork for a new (to me) place close by. Really charming owner, who made us feel very welcome and took great pride over the food. The restaurant itself is really pretty, spotlessly clean and welcoming. We opted to sit outside as it was a lovely day, it’s a nice spot with the jammed pack tram 28 trundling past every so often. My favourite was the popcorn chicken, which was hot and crunchy and came with a tasty dipping sauce. The slow cooked pork and coleslaw Bao buns were also very good. To be fair everything was nice. All freshly prepared and piping hot. We enjoyed a very pleasant white wine too, which was recommended by our host. Even though we were outside, the owner did let us know that he was pet friendly, so that’s nice to know. 🐶
