Two of us went for the 3 course special and asked for vegetarian including fish. The starters and desserts were very tasty and well presented. The main courses were less successful. They were overly busy, with too many competing elements which didn’t quite work. Eg aubergine with feta, the aubergine had a strange spongey consistency and in combo with feta was very salty which even the pomegranate couldn’t dilute enough. Overall we had a nice evening because the mousse dessert was lovely, along with the initial starters.

Beautiful, very tasty food. We can highly recommend the chef’s surprise menu. From starters over mains to dessert we enjoyed a delicious meal for a very fair price. Can highly recommend Beniràs!

This was an excellent little gem in a great little city. We stopped on the way back from the airport and had a lovely outside meal. The service staff was fantastic in accommodating us and the food preparation was superb. The mixture of spices and tastes was outstanding.

This is a small restaurant just off the main Breestraat in Leiden…easy to find and pleasantly small. The tapas style food is inventive with good flavours and textures…..a very pleasant dinner in a convivial local ambiance.

Shared dining in a cosy atmosphere. Friendly service and a fine dinner for 2. We selected 2 bites and 3 shared dishes for 2 persons. Red wine (Tempranillo) by the glass. We had a nice dinner and stay.

We were absolutely disappointed with our dinner. You’re getting 2 stars because the service was good. However , the chefs menu is an absolutely ripoff. What are you paying for the amount/quality that you get is ridiculous. We pay 170 euros and we didn’t have dinner honestly. I have no reasons to ever come back.

We were pleasantly surprised by unknown and unique dishes and flavours. Only one dish left us disappointed because it was dry and overcooked. It's a very cute delightful restaurant in the heart of old city. We will be definitely back!
