6.5/10The food was interesting and the wines delicious. The service however was too slow. We were sat in the restaurant for over 3 hours! It was a very expensive dinner at 200 Euros+ for two and we feel we could have enjoyed a better and cheaper experience elsewhere. Alan Paine (UK)

10/10Had a really nice dinner with outside seating. The waitress was really nice and assisted with the menu. We had a three and a four course menu. The menu had some great options with fish, meat and vegetarian options. There was also an option to take a wine menu but we did not do that. Price wise this is on the higher end of restaurants, expect to spend around €50-€60 per person. Which is really worth it! Would recommend and will come here again.

About this restaurant
In Limburg, tussen Maaseik en Roermond, ligt het charmante dorpje Stevensweert. Aan de schitterende markt ligt een restaurant dat hoog staat aangeschreven bij de bourgondiërs uit de streek: Restaurant Herberg Stadt Stevenswaert. Sinds 1996 leggen Pascalle en Marcus hun gasten hier in de watten met culinaire creaties en met een warme en oprechte ontvangst. Om absolute topgerechten te kunnen serveren, zijn durf en creativiteit nodig. In de keuken van Marcus Schmidt is er dan ook een constante zoektocht aan de gang naar perfecte harmonie. De smaken, geuren, kleuren en texturen van de producten die je hier op je bord krijgt, vormen steevast een bijzonder smakelijk geheel. Die producten blinken trouwens uit in versheid. Bij het restaurant ligt een gigantische groentetuin , waar groenten, kruiden en eetbare bloemen de tijd krijgen om uit te groeien tot topingrediënten. Alles wordt geteeld en geoogst met het grootste respect voor het ritme van de natuur en de seizoenen.
