First time visiting Bistro du Moulin, located in a small village on the outskirts of Morges. The restaurant is modern and nicely decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is rather short, which usually suggests fresh ingredients, and several items appear to be sourced locally. The dishes were well presented, but we found the overall experience a bit overpriced for what you actually get. The food was good, yet our table didn’t feel a real “wow” effect or strong emotion from the dishes. A point to be aware of: items on the set menu cannot be changed, even for dietary requirements. The waiter explained that because the restaurant was full, the kitchen couldn’t accommodate any adjustments. We felt this wasn’t the most customer‑friendly approach, especially since the dishes on the set menu are not available à la carte. Those options (such as the lobster risotto and the beef) would have been more to our taste. We hope the restaurant will consider adjusting this aspect.

This lovely Bistro rates among the best places I have eaten in Europe! One doesn't expect to be served such innovative food just anywhere these days. Everything was perfect: atmosphere, quiet and calm, menu choices, top wine offerings, absolutely dreamy dessert, and a server/owner with great charm and food knowledge. This was a stupendous meal! Unforgettable. Though expensive, the degustation de chasse. with wine pairings, was worth the price.
