The food was fine. The first dish was a soup that was lacking flavor and lukewarm. The duck and lamb were good. The service was quite slow to begin. Nearly 1.5 hours between being seated and clearing the starter. The ambiance is a bit kitschy and there were strange things like brochures on the table that appeared to be selling you something before you even sat down. I found that tacky, almost to the point of being funny. We were allegedly supposed to receive a discount on food through the Fork, but I don’t think we did. I didn’t bother because I don’t enjoy debates with the restaurant. There are other places I would recommend in Venice

Usually waiting times are not that long and from what we understand they weren't even on the day you dined with us, but if the service was too slow for you, we apologize. As regards the discount, the reservation made through The Fork can include a discount which however is only applied to the à la carte menu. It is clearly specified that the discount does not apply to drinks and tasting menus and we understand that you took the 4 courses ones. Also for this aspect it would have been useful if you had asked us when paying the bill, so we could have explained to you the reason for the lack of discount. Best regards, la Direzione

This place is just outstanding in every way. The food was delicious and our server was extremely knowledgeable about all the dishes, many of which are based on historic Venetian recipes. This plan should have a Michelin star.

Food is exceptional, service was amazing. Only small things to improve: the table was a bit small and close to the entrance so we were feeling the cold when people were opening the door.

This was a culinary experience unlike any other. Serving dishes based on recipes from the 1200s, this restaurant is one of a kind. Superior service provided by Dara- with his eloquently poetic introductions to each dish - and his assistant Emanuele. The food was excellent and the service, superior. The whole experience was capped off with two desserts, also from the 13th century, where one was sprayed with bergamot and the other bathed in rose water on the spot! The restaurant itself is also supremely private and decorated in a lush manner. Highly recommended.

By far the best food and dining experience I’ve ever had in my life. This includes top restaurants across the United States, Italy, and several Michelin Star restaurants. It’s truly a wonder to eat here, we will be back.

Beautiful cozy place with lots of comfort food. Huge wine list with 50? 60? wines by the glass. The waiter and sommelier was very knowledgeable. The slow cooked lamb was the highlight of my lunch.

Food is actually not that good/ tasty and overpriced. Steak and lamb were dry. Raffioli had nothing inside. But great servers and ambiance

The lamb was fantastic but I was not impressed at all with the lasagna. The “snail” bread and olive oil was REALLY good. Service was top notch although I had to wait 15mins to get my check to pay. Overall 8.2 rating.

Completely amazing experience. The food is unbelievable, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is upscale without being pretentious. Cannot say enough about the professional staff. You can instantly tell they serve with passion. And, very accommodating. I would not hesitate to suggest you visit Bistrot de Venise as a "must" for your stop in the wonderful city.

First time at a Michelin restaurant and we did the 7 course tasting menu. I’m sorry but it was awful. Food was very bland. Every course involved fish… was hoping for some kind of meat course. The restaurant was super loud. Utterly disappointed and will never go to a Michelin restaurant on this app again. Way over priced for not even mediocre food.

The Experience menu of Bistrot de Venise is a selection of our best solid dishes and cannot be considered awful...you may say that you did not like, that for your pocket it is expensive and also that you did not like the atmoshere but giving a look at the recent hundreds super positive reviews we might consider that your gastronomic experiences are not used to attend this kind of restaurants. What a treat! Great atmosphere, first class service and amazing sommelier advice for the wine from over 60 bottles available by the glass. Price is quite reasonable for the type of place. Fantastic food with a complimentary starter. I would only recommend that they stop their partnership with the excessive water bottles (sold separately) as it is extremely overpriced tourist gimmick, and brings down the otherwise perfect perception for such a beautiful place. Ignoring that little part, it is an amazing place.

We made reservations to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. They were able to accommodate our family’s dietary restrictions with an incredible experience of delicious food and service. I enjoyed my stay in Venice, and this was the icing on the cake. I will be thinking about the food I enjoyed at this restaurant for a long while, and would absolutely return or recommend for any future visits. This location has absolutely earned every one of their Michelin stars!
