9/10It was absolutely delicious. Everything about the dinner. Food was the best!!!! I had to wait an hour for it but it was WORTH the wait haha!! Best food I had on my trip.

9.5/10Staff remained good humoured despite internet issues. I was really impressed with them. Food was delicious. We didn’t like our first seat as it was in the middle of the room with people constantly walking by but staff moved us rot a quiet y table when we requested a change. Very good restaurant.

8.5/10Really great food and waiting staff were more than helpful. However we had booked in advanced a table and were told manager/owner he did not have our booking and they were already overbooked as it was. Felt sorry waiting staff as they were run off their feet. Would recommend but bare that in mind

2/10We attended on Christmas day and had a terrible experience - both food and service. The staff seemed overworked. The restaurant was clearly overbooked. Customers were waiting by our table the entire time we were there. No one came by to ask us if we want another drink. Food arrived 5 mins after we ordered - terrible quality. As we began eating we were told we would need to clear the table in 20 minutes. We were hoping to have a relaxing dinner but basically kicked out after an hour. Definitely the worst place we dined during our 4 days in Amsterdam.

6/10The food quality was high. However, the restaurant was too busy and they were trying to serve and change over too many tables meaning the service was poor and the food temperature was tepid.

10/10This was our first night in Amsterdam and I had read about this restaurant back in the States. . It did not disappoint. The steak was delicious. My husband had hanger steak that was also delicious cooked perfectly. The fruit were perfect and the asparagus with cheese were cooked to perfection.

10/10We actually ate here twice on our visit to Amsterdam. Both times my wife and I shared the Ribeye for two. It was a big thick ribeye that (both times) iseemed larger than the menu said… had to be 20 to 24 oz. Great grill flavor. Fries were crispy and unlimited, but one basket was enough for both of us. There were other things on the menu so it is not just about steak. Service was very warm, humorous, and friendly. I recommend this place.

10/10Overall, we were pleased with the experience. Being from the states, we are used to having fish deboned before serving so it was a little different for some people who were not used to having to perform that task.

10/10Cozy place perfect for a date, with amazing meat to share (600g lobster), fries that you can refill included in the main dish, perfect service, and gluten-free nice bread provided! Absolutely worth it, with a price that was worth it for the overall experience!

10/10The wine, the scallops for appetizer, and the two small steak fillets, were all delicious. With a salad included, this was a great meal, for value. It was a special occasion, as it was my birthday. On our dessert of pistachio ice cream on a ring of pineapple, with pistachio bits on top, the staff came out singing Happy Birthday with a sparkling candle on top. We were seated towards the back, in a little romantic corner, and the waiter checked on us several times, without being intrusive. It will be a special memory from Amsterdam for my wife and me. ????

10/10My daughter and I enjoyed our evening at the Black and Blue. Very nice setting, close to the Anne Frank House and canal tours. The service was pleasant and prompt, and we both had their signature steak. Highly recommend.

9.5/10Great place. Extremely tasty food, reasonably priced and very good service. The whole place had a real buzz. My wife is a vegetarian and she was impressed with the veggie options. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

9/10Busy vibe but staff were efficient and food was tasty. Only issue was we were on occasions cold as a door nearby was left open. One of the staff noticed me putting scalf on and ran to close it.

8.5/10Place is supper nice and feels cozy. Was bit too crowded as tables are so close tone to another. Was supper busy but the service was fast and the staff was friendly :) I ordered 2 starters and the strips were just sooo good! The wines offered are also good :) would recommend it!

7/10We loved the restaurant it was great, very warm, comfortable, good lighting, perfect environment really. The food was good but was cold, carrot soup, awesome taste - cold, veggies, awesome taste - cold, ribeye steak, perfect medium - but bit on the cold side. 100% sure it would have been practically perfect if it was just hot(er). Had a vision of the dishes sitting on the pass, waiting..

6.5/10Lovely setting, great food, a shame about the service. Overwhelming sense of uncertainty with orders and dishes, I was served the wrong burger, which I had to wait to get redone and then a extra portion of chips that we didn’t order arrived, which still made it to the bill even though we hadn’t asked for them.
