10/10This spot was in a nice location, was nicely appointed, and the food and service were great. We all had focaccia sandwiches from the lunch menu. We also had sides of bread and fries, which were excellent.

The ambience is absolutely spectacular. All the attention detail is just stunning. Our table was cozy and had beautiful views of the restaurant. All of the waiters were kind and helpful. And our food was excellent and extremely speedy.

6.5/10The food was very good, but not the sauces that accompanied the meat, which tasted like they were bought rather than homemade. The service was very friendly, but not personal, and we were served by four different people, which made everything seem too hectic.

2/10We arrived prior to our reservation only to be told they were "overbooked ", we were then pushed into a corner by the front door where many people stood waiting to enter the restaurant. Very dissatisfied. Sad to be treated this way.

7.5/10Good restaurant and service, I do think that either the tap water, or the bread should be free. If not, people just leave a smaller tip ! My lobster was a bit overcooked, so the meat was a bit dry and shrunken. Otherwise good. Nice to have the bottomless fries.

10/10The fillet steak and mushroom sauce was perfectly cooked (medium rare) for all three of us who dined at Black and Blue. The waitress was very friendly, and helpful with the wine choice, allowing me to taste before selecting. While the restaurant was busy, we did not have to wait very long for our meals, and it wasn't too noisy either. The restaurant decor is lovely. I also order meals from the restaurant, which serviced The Pavilions/Toren Amsterdam, and those meals were just as delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

4.5/10We have been coming here for several years and have recommended it to people we know are coming to Amsterdam. That stops today. The place has changed and not for the better. They have economized on the portions, removed the salad that came with the meal, the service is pretty awful now, and you can’t hear yourself think with how noisy it is. They are packing in the tables so tightly you can’t get out if they seat you at the back, which we were. Clearly the accountants are running the restaurant now. This place’s time has come and gone. Sadly we won’t be back.
