Setting was really great, looking over the city of Lisbon on a beautiful evening. Food was nicely presented and was good. The only thing that we feel could be improved was getting a cocktail to drink while looking over menu, which we like to do, but we waited a long time. Hence the starter came and we were still drinking cocktails. That’s how we like to enjoy our meal. Would recommend the restaurant.

Wonderful meal that was made even better with direction from Ram. He suggested wine pairings that were delicious, and dining recommendations . Location is fabulous and our NJ/NYC family of foodies & 20 something's were all impressed ! A drink in the bar after for a nightcap was cozy and top notch cocktails! Thank you!!

The main entree was weak quality and cold. My side vegetables were cold. The service was great and the ambiance was pretty good. One thing I’d say. The people smoking on outside patio brought smoke into the restaurant where we were sitting.

Our 22nd anniversary dinner was our best ever because we had it at Black Pavilion. The food was delicious: Shrimp & Mango Salad, Pork Jarret & Orange Sauce, and Tangerine Crème Brûlée with Yuzu Gelato. Every bite had wow factor. The service was exceptional. The sommelier was super helpful. Having specified our anniversary in the reservation, we were given a corner table with floor to ceiling windows. Lisbon is stunning from that viewpoint. After dinner, we stepped next door to the bar for a nightcap and received more royal treatment there. It was a better-than-perfect evening at Black Pavilion. We will return multiple times. Exquisite company, atmosphere, and cuisine!

An exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is stylish and elegant, crowned by an indescribable view over Lisbon that is especially breathtaking at sunset. The service was flawless throughout: attentive, warm, and professional without ever feeling intrusive. The food was simply outstanding—creative, perfectly balanced, and of the highest quality. A particular highlight was the sommelier: a true expert who, with great passion, recommended the absolutely perfect wine to complement the menu. A top-level dining experience that will stay in your memory for a long time. Highly recommended.

The food is really pleasing. The selection isn’t huge but very well curated, and so delicious that we decided to eat there two days in a row, tasting a bit of everything twice. Though food is great - go there for the service and the staff. Being far from home, they make you feel welcome and taken good care of. They see you. A minor detail in the bigger picture: the most amazing view of Lisbon from the terrace. Absolutely stunning, which just makes the entire experience perfect. We will be back.

Excellent food and service; the staff knew what to recommend to pair the food with wine, making excellent food recommendations. The view over the city and the ambiance make this restaurant a must visit. The overall experience was amazing, despite the hair-in-the-food incident. The staff quickly acknowledge the issue and were generous in compensating for it. Strongly recommend it.

The good is the view. The bad is the food. Excellent location and would recommend for a drink on the terrace for the view over Lisbon. The menu was short but this should mean what they cook they cook well. The stater of ravioli was good but they had already run out of bruschetta so my parter had an ok prawn salad. I had the fillet steak that was ordered rare and arrived medium with fries in a basket. More pub grub than fine dinning. My partner had loin of pork that again was over cooked. Deserts were terrible. I went for floating islands. These should be a light soft marshmallow in an egg custard. What arrived was a lump of raw egg white filled with granulated sugar that burnt the tongue. The wine list is long but they seem not to stock most of them. The first four I requested were out of stock. Settled for a wine that had a wax foil which the waiter pulled the cork through and left ragged bits of wax that he picked off. Leaving just enough to spoil the effect. So no not good.

Everything about Black Pavillon makes for a relaxing, satisfying brunch experience. Service was friendly and professional, ambience was relaxing and d conducive to conversation, food was excellent and definitely more than worth what we paid for it. I highly recommend

The restaurant is neat, ideal for a nice evening date with a nice view of the city. The menu is small but well cooked and tasty food. Good selection of drinks too.

Wonderful everything: service, location, starters, mains. Highly recommended. The pork cheek is a wonder. The rice with tamboril too. And the scallops with Jamon ! Beautiful. Had a fantastic red too (Quinta da vacaria reserva 2001). Pricey but outstanding). Dessert not so much.

28€ for a glass of wine was outrageous especially when the waiter/sommelier who proposed that wine did not make any heads up concerning the high priced wine. We ended up paying more for each glass of wine than for the main course. Makes no sense and I will not return to that restaurant. If you do, beware of the sommelier’s suggestions.

Lovely restaurant, with great views. But quite quiet which means ambience isn’t great. Service was fantastic. Food was tasty, but could be improved. Two of us had the crab toast to start. The crab itself was lovely, but the toast was so hard it made it very difficult to eat with a knife and fork. For mains two of us had the cod, again the flavours were lovely, but unfortunately the food was just luke warm. The plate had been warmed, so not sure why the food wasn’t hot.

This was such a great experience! The lookout from the balcony was gorgeous and the food was even more impressive! We loved our time here and would highly recommend. The reatuarant is a little hidden so I recommend, going to the hotel lobby nearby and they are so helpful in guiding you to the right spot.

Beautiful setting, especially outdoor seating with its stunning sunset views. Front room is pleasant, though back room feels like you are an afterthought.

Nice restaurant with a nice view and good food. But this is a hotel that looks after its guests and the rest of us are mot the first priority. Not our best experience in Lisbon
