The food was very nice and authentic but it takes forever to get it! We took almost 90 minutes from the moment we sat down to the moment we got our food. We had to ask for at least the drinks to be brought to the table while we waited for the food. That being said the staff was friendly and the food worth it! We had injera and the chicken and lamb was particularly good, the beef dish was a bit chewy but would recommend the over all experience unless you are in a rush!

Nice and friendly staff. The injera is delicious, the vegan version is great but the meat version the meat is a tough. I love strong Ethiopian coffee but unfortunately the coffee here wasn't. All and all a nice evening out. We will return. Thank you.

We had a fantastic dinner at Blue Nile Restaurant in The Hague, and the food truly stole the show. As a group of three, we were excited to explore Ethiopian cuisine, and every dish exceeded our expectations. The flavors were rich, authentic, and beautifully balanced — from the perfectly spiced stews to the soft, tangy injera that tied everything together. Each plate was clearly prepared with care and tradition, offering a wonderful variety of textures and tastes. Whether you're new to Ethiopian food or a longtime fan, this place is a must-visit. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made us feel right at home. Blue Nile is a gem in Den Haag. If you're looking for a flavorful, memorable meal, this is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back!

It is a small and cozy place with great staff and amazing food. The millet Injera is yummy when paired with lentils. Only down side is that it can feel too crowded with just a few customers.

Vegetarian meal was disappointing, qualitatively and quantitatively, we paid 22€ for Atekelt Beyayentu. It says blue nils special but it was nothing special. Meat dishes were good, but overpriced and very little. Drinks were good, price was convenient, éthiopien beer was really good.

We already knew we liked Ethiopian food and this restaurant, so we were happy to return. This time we brought our 12 year old son to try Ethiopian food for the first time. And he loved it!

Great little restaurant. Fantastic tasty and varied food. Be warned that service was a little slow. Fine for a long relaxed evening, but would avoid if you are on a schedule.

All was good with our diner tonight. We liked the food, especially my younger daughter. I recommend the place and we will come back another time.

Really delicious, authentic Ethiopian food. You must do the coffee at the end! Use your hands and eat it traditionally- there’s a sink nearby so don’t worry about getting messy. Don’t eat all the injera - it will expand later in your stomach and you’ll be extra full.

The food was incredible, hearty and delicious, and I loved the Ethiopian style of art decorating the restaurant. It was a lovely experience and I definitely intend to come back.

To start with, the ambience of the restaurant was really good and inviting. The staff was quite friendly. More than the food the experience itself was worth it. Had a great time with friends. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit it more often.

The experience is nice. The food is ok but the service might be a bit slower. However they try their best and most of the times the food comes in time. I would prefer to have bigger portions, but as long as you take appetizers or deserts you shall be fine.

This incredible restaurant offers a cosy atmosphere, finger- licking good food and the staff is wonderful, amiable and hard-working! The food quality is definitely worth every penny ???? Coming back here for some more ????

The Blue Nile is charming because of its staff. A group of power women of all ages. It was nice to see. The food quality ok, far for a Michelin star, yet exotic enough. The Ethiopian coffee experience was excellent as well as the honey wine.
